I've watched so many videos trying to explain these. This is without doubt the clearest, best presented and most helpful shooting video I've had the pleasure of watching. Thank you.

This is perhaps the most understandable video I have seen on the internet for target leading.

Nothing says more than the an actual picture of lead exactly , barrel - bird -exact moment of impact, which you have accomplished and simplified beautifully. Thx sooo much.

Sir, I thoroughly enjoyed this instructional video. Using the video technology allowed me to see how I know what a correct mount looks like. Your dominate eye was in the center of your barrel, the barrel and the bead were aligned as well, and you kept it locked 🔒 in place as you did the various 3 shooting methods! 🎉Thank you so much‼️

Although the top shooters and vetran shooters wont see the lead like this its very informative for a beginner shooter to understand all of these, for a novice most can relate to swing through for close fast targets and as they get farther away use the pull away and sustained lead........very good and informative video for beginners to understand the basics.........great video.....

I'm well over 50 years old, and I'm still a beginner. I've never really been able to figure out how to consistently hit doves or skeet. If I connect, it's a happy accident. I'm trying to juggle mount, form, seeing the bead, seeing the target, swing speed, etc. all at once, and it's just too much form my brain to figure out in a split second. Also over a span of 30 years I've thought if only I just had a more expensive shotgun than the last one then I'll finally be able to hit a moving target; clearly, however, that hasn't proven true since my many shotguns haven't changed my results.

I was shooting fill chokes. I usually shoot tight chokes when doing demonstrations, so the flash targets explode making the break easier to see on camera.

i've seen many videos about shooting and i believe that it is the best till now due to its exellent modifications and it is also proved better in presentation even to other non 'shooting' videos. i would also like you to tell me the secret of your "eye view/cam" because it is the best method i've ever seen till now and i would like to apply that method also. Please tell me how you made it (video or comment) and i'll really apreciate it thanks

Very good video. Can I ask, is there "a rule of thumb" for the amount of lead you should give a target depending on its distance from you?

Now, off I go to the range. Great advice, now all I have to do is make sure my brain got the message.
@ssunprod9 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t suggest that you shoot swing through on targets past 25-30 yards. Once you shoot past these distances, the bleed off of shot speed requires you to hold the shot off until the gun is past the target and I find it difficult to do. Swing through requires excellent reflexes and eyesight on longer target presentations. Most of the top shooters today use constant or maintained lead for most shots, but will use others on some targets. But remember, you don’t see lead, you feel it. The gun is much like the white line when driving, you are not looking at it, but you are definitely aware of where it is. Bruce Scott

When im shooting i noticed that i watch the bird but cant seem to figure out where my shotgun is im kind of just guessing. I still hit clays but would hit alot more if i could fix this issue. Would you happen to have any answers?

@ssunprod9 жыл бұрын
Sorry Sky, but there is no simple method of figuring lead as the distance increases. Actually, four things determine the forward allowance needed angle of the presentation, speed of the target and speed of the shot column at the target. I know this sounds like a sales pitch, but our instructional DVD, “Your Extra Xs” covers all of the above very well. Thanks, Bruce

Let me ask you please. When should you start pulling a triger, once you aline a bead to the center of a clay or a front edge?
@ssunprod6 жыл бұрын
Depending on your choice of chokes, you have a 20-30” pattern, so the two inch difference in center and front doesn’t matter. I don’t think I could ever be that precise.
@beeeeee776 жыл бұрын
ssunprod I have fixed one, it is without chockes.
@jnet5910 жыл бұрын
Totally helpful. But a warning to all younger shooters. Focus on the TARGET, NOT the barrel. You will have many more hits if you do. The barrel should be in your peripheral vision NOT the target.
