This moves me so deeply. I wish there were a way that I could send words to Forward Kwenda personally, telling him that the music his voice, fingers and heart steward make my life more worth living and remind me of the way that I'm not alone, that my life is held up and made possible by my ancestors, by the ancient ground and water, even though I don't speak the language he sings in. That the prayers of his voice and hands bring medicine and vast nourishment to my spirit. Thank you Forward Kwenda and those who carry this music with you!

Great music. I always find myself wishing someone could translate the words. Oh well, the music speaks for itself
@mwanawezimbabwe99162 жыл бұрын
It's a bit tricky to translate because it's a deeply spiritual song, but the basic theme of the song is Mukayitiende= wake up and let's go, Hondo yauya= war is here, Its a prayer and he is petitioning the Gods/ancestors for wisdom and solutions for this war , pane ane rairo? = Who has the instructions

@@mwanawezimbabwe9916 , thank you very much. I like the performance even more having learned a little bit about the lyrics.

The ancestors left these alters so he goes there to entertain them, make our traditional prayers, mbira is for the soul bcoz our ancestors know there's nothing called physical war, there's alwys a dual spiritual war perpetuating physical wars so they established school of thoughts one of the them is Mbira school of thoughts, just by being around it's vibration your soul can't take it it's a hijacked right away and u start receive spiritual knowledge about your past life, your ancestors, what's missing, why u sad why your kids sad everything abt to life

@@jayleetzvevo460 Thank you. Very interesting and, to a certain degree at least, the themes you brought up are universal. Here in the USA, many of us are talking about how we are in the midst of a Cold Civil war, a battle which is more spiritual than physical (at least for the time being). I also agree that even if the Cold Civil War becomes an actual armed conflict, that conflict will ultimately still be a spiritual war. I hope for the best and I wish good fortune to all people of Goodwill. Have a blessed day.
