The engine in this thing happens to be in the same generation of the M70 family tree as the McLaren F1 engine. The M70 was the first one, and the 850i and the 850Ci got that one, the one 5.4 liter one. For the M8 prototype it got the S70/1, an upscaled 6.06 liter model of the M70 with twice the valves and camshafts. Then a downscaled version for mass production of the S70/1 with half the valves and 0.4 less liters was made for the 850CSi, but at the same time Gordon Murray asked BMW for a good engine for his car and they made a power-to-weight focused version of the S70/1 called the S70/2, also 6.06 liters. The S70/2 was used in the McLaren F1 and a modified S70/2 with 6.1 liters was used for the GTR variant of the F1 (until '97 where it was destroked to 6.0 liters), and then BMW made another one called the S70/3 that was used in the BMW V12 LM and LMR, as well as the BMW X5 LM. Also, the McLaren F1 LM road car used the '95 GTR's 6.1 liter engine.

As soon as I met the season requirements today I immediately Put in the McLaren F1 Engine swap and I put in BMW front bumper and RD Wing and I added Twin Turbos and AWD and All of this cost me 173,000 credits to upgrade but IT WAS DEFINITELY WORTH IT! This car is definitely worth upgrading.

The thing I adore with this is how it came out at a time where when BMW made a "half-M" car, they didn't do something like "BMW M850Ci," they did "850CSi." They do this with modern BMW's like the "M340i" and it just looks like someone took a regular 340i and stuck on an M badge they got off EBay.

4.0 litre v8 is from an e92 m3 5.0 litre v10 is from an e60 m5 And the 6.1 litre v12 is from the mclaren f1, the same engine the car has stock just with a little extra love... We've got some very cool engine swaps for this beauty

Another fun fact: the v12 is literally two i6s smacked together. It has two of almost every sensor lmao. Each sensor was connected to the ecu separately instead of coming through a single plug as in most v’s. It also had two sensors for quite literally everything including sensors for things there are only one part of like the crank sensor. It pretty much used two ecus for all areas relating to the engine

The S70/2 is 2 BMW S50 motors together. The S70 V12 is not related at all to the S70/2. BMW put the 2 S50s together and modified it for the Mclaren F1 and the M8.
