The longest dirt race in Forza Horizon 5 is also the longest track in the game! The Gauntlet with the 1082HP Hoonigan RS200 Evolution against Unbeatable AI difficulty. The Gauntlet is the grand finale for Horizon Wilds Dirt Racing Series.

Unbeatable AI driving the Ford Puma FEs are brutal on this track. If you don't overtake them before 91%, they will have insane grip and acceleration at the last part and you won't be able to overtake them.

I love how the AI just casually goes around a corner on a dirt road at like 150MPH. They're basically like: "ACTIVATING NOS TO GET AWAY FROM PLAYER"

@@Z1g0l Didn't try 5th yet but in 4th my main impression about AI was "why the f these idiots can't hold the car straight on this simple part, what is these wabbling about and how am I supposed to make clean and safe overtake"

@SweetPeaches69 Yeah, that's why I hesitate to buy the game. I like FH series but the AI is just poorly made, expected a bit more. Well, I'll wait till they repair online networking so I can play with other people. Maybe next Forza Motorsport will be better in AI department.

@SweetPeaches69 By the way in FH 4 I didn't face at least obvious cheating. Recently in FH 5 I did. Got to a very short and fast race where I could not catch the leader on a proper RWD race car. So I decided to go easy mod and made 900HP / ~1250 kg AWD Skyline (S1). And what I got - yes, start and AI shoots ahead from this one in EXACTLY SAME manner it does from my RWDs. Like "oh, you've got one with 2,5 sec 0 - 100, ok, we then will make it in 1,5". I know its possible to pack better power/weight ratio in 900S1 and surely ALL AI goes AWD, why not... but on what tyres can you utilise that power from the start? And where are the consequences of throwing the handling upgrades for the power? In FH 4 I new what the roaster of certain categoty and rating consisted of and could make a car which would have predictable pros and cons vs that roaster. In FH 5 it feels like AI specs are adjusted to the specs of your car, not just to its rating, so in ANY car you'll have the same race scenario for given difficulty. And what car you make and how you tune it doesn't matter at all. It was not like that in 4th.

@@wolfboy20 Unbeatables are fairly slow too. If they were not - no chance to get 1st after starting 12th (esp in shorter races). What is really funny - how they are waiting for you when they are ahead and then go full speed when they are behind. I think all AI does that but with undeatables it goes to the point when bot overtakes you and immediately stomps the brakes on easily full throttle part so you slam into his butt. Would be nice if we had qualification instead of this shit.

That's rubberbanding for you. AI cars get horsepower boosts in Forza. If you don't believe it, go on FM7, spectate an AI car in replay, turn telemetry on, and see for yourself

Yes, I also noticed how at some parts AI just zoomed out when they should braking and cornering, but instead the just throttling hard while cornering to overtake you easily. This rubberband seems very obvious though because on last race for track, AI suddenly slowed down when we almost reached finish line while on early-mid they just zoomed out even with our best setup, we cant catch them up. I hope PG should make rework on AI behaviour and rubberband system because most players said like that too, AI was OP in here.

The graphics and draw distances are so pleasing in this game. Seeing the volcano from miles away and seeing as it gets closer and closer is slowly is proof that this game has amazing scale of time, objects and travel. Love some horizon 5. Best racing game so far. Fun fun!!

I love how this games AI is actually good and your race is so much more interesting because you are always fighting for positions not getting 1st in the first 10% of the race.

Just got through 3-circuit tarmac race. S1 car makes a circuit in roughly 43 seconds. 2 decent overtake spots. Need to overtake 11 cars. Nice... I mean I know the win recipe but cmon, I don't want to ride all same boring AWD monster cars which are so-so throughout the track bit will sling me to top 3 within the frst curve. The measures devs took to make race tense to the finish work the opposite way in practice. Uutside few longest tracks they make the race to be decided in the first two curves. You eather find an exploit that lets you make stupidly massive overtake from the start or you will not catch a leader. Not to mention cases where 1st drivatar comes 6 - 8 sec ahead of the 2nd place in 3 minutes race...

This is by far my favorite race yet in the horizon series! I did it with the Audi Quattro S1 class took my like 22 minutes to finish the race and was able to get first place on unbeatable. It's a really fun course specially going down the volcano at high speeds drifting the corners and tight turns.

The thing that gets me is how they just grip out of any corner like its nothing. These mfs must have phenomenal throttle control, or tire compounds that are not available for the player lol

That aerial double overtake was EPICC. And wtf is going on with this AI? Racing those little Ford Pumas at 200+mph, absolutely ripping through corners like nobody's business lol. These things must be a fiberglass shell with a tubular chassis and racing engine underneath, there's no other explanation

Very clean driving! But I do realise that you tend to take your line a little from the inside instead of taking it it wide which makes you loose traction after your cornering loosing your apex but then again it's only a minor adjustment, also try using less break and let go of the throttle a little sooner on gravel it won't make you loose grip as much and will be easier to depart from such angle

I got right to the end of this race, final turns through the jungle to the open fields, my car had the advantage in the corners but couldn’t beat the second place car’s top speed. Suddenly I couldn’t make my turns anymore, and I was losing spots left and right. Turns out my tires had completely worn out to 100% damage and they were basically useless. I had to give up the race after like 15 minutes of driving

The only issue I have with this forza is the AI divebombing every corner that you even leave the tiniest bit of space on the inside. Otherwise this game is amazing
