The detailing of asphalt and cars in tdu is better, but in tdu objects lack anti-aliasing, and some things look angular rather than round, I remind you that the game is tdu AA game. Yes, there are fewer cars in it than in forza, but forza is an AAA game with huge budgets, so the cars should look like in tdu or even better, but in reality it’s the other way around

Detailing in cars is better?? You wot m8? It's literally made up of less polygons. There's just way more contrast for some reason. Reminds me of Driveclub's base contrast which I despised to all hell. This is not as bad/crazy, but still way more than basically majority AAA's out there. At night it goes easier with the contrast which is weird as that would usually be the time to add more contrast.

I saw another video that compare the engine sounds of these 2 games and reality. It's impressive how tdu is very close unlike other AAA open world racing games.

TDU cars are MUCH more detailed, also keep in mind that this TDU footage is from very old test version.

TDUs cars are not much more detailed, though they usually have better-looking interiors and nicer materials like leather, plastic and metallic paintjob when compared to Forza. And no, this is not "footage from old test version", what is the point for developers to publish an outdated game build 3 months before the release?

No, they are not. In TDU, car models have much fewer polygons than in Forza, and there is a problem with lighting almost everywhere. Let's add to this problems with reflections.

@@dew4h This demo has been in preparation for months while we know that these races are accepted. What car will be available what can we explore or not all that takes time they didn't just put the invisible walls on the map and finished the version which was tested is not the latest version of the development certain detail like the water will most certainly regulate as far as cars are concerned, if you have to admit it's better it's better for me it's a good idea for the new graphics that TDU does better than FH5 finally for me I prefer SO MUCH MORE to wander around the world certainly a bit empty of TDU that in the empty and void Mexico of FH5 at least there is no tunnel in the city and squares of colors with just a church in the middle we got a much better overview of the games in the August demo

Graphically Fh5 is a notch above but they have more budget so logical but Tdu remains very beautiful graphically it's satisfactory, the most important is the gameplay and the attractiveness and Tdu is still above Fh, now in terms of sound Tdu engine still gives it a monumental thrashing with these sounds incredibly close to realism and there are comparisons that prove it on Yt. So it's great to have an engine that produces beautiful graphics but perhaps we should think about renewing at Playground Games because they have been releasing the same game without innovation since Fh3

@@iammaestro895 No, the classic version of Tdu is €30 and €50 for the Gold version in France on key sales sites, unlike FH which is €60 upon its release.

The physics for forza still the best in terms for simarcade style, easy to learn, able to do some tuning style with no problem, no major problem when using keyboard/steering wheels/gamepad

@@MrRushfanatic Arcade is Need For Speed. Forza is a Simcade. Horizon has physics derived from Motorsport, which, by the way, is a Simcade. However, Horizon “eases” the physics to make it simpler for the general public, but it is still a simcade.

You can literally check the latest KZfaq shorts video published 1hr ago by Nacon, showcasing American cars, the graphics are the same as in the demo, or are they also using "beta" versions for trailers? :) And nope, this is not about AA vs AAA, but about very similar open-world racing games, as many expected the new TDU to be a Forza killer

if tdu sc requires such power to run how to heck are they going to make this work on console like the ps5 im worried about the state of the game when it launches in just a few months they should push it back and work the kinks b4 it releases or its going to be DOA i hope they do the right thing but knowing games nowadays it gonna be rushed out smh

Don't worry the demo was an early build of the game, the optimization issue has been fixed and most bugs have already been removed. we just gotta wait for the beta's to see how it runs on the consoles :D

the biggest difference is above all the budget comparing two games like it graphically makes no sense like when saint row was compared to gta 5 it's not because two games have the same principle that it is comparable

It is a demo, a version that should represent the full game (launching in 2 months so not much could be changed). Not a Beta or Alpha version for testers. The only thing that should be missing in Demo compared to TDU's release version is the number of cars, races, cutscenes, size of the map, etc. I'm not comparing that in the video :)

If we are to believe the words from the director himself, he said this is an early build demo. 🤷‍♂️ Can't ALWAYS believe developers these days, but who knows. Still impressive for a smaller team. And if they can bring back the nostalgia from TDU 1 and 2, I'm sure I'll love this more than any of the Horizon games with their wasteland-like maps.

Cars in Forza always sounds like shit! Never had understanding of how developers can fucked up such a great recorded car sounds. There are some videos, where they are showing how they record it. I think it should be fantastic, but in the game we hear that flat and fully synthetic sound. I guess this is fault of a sound designer or those people who implemented it in the game (equalizer settings or something like that, not sure)
