So today i tackle the famous Monmouth beach. fossil hunting at Monmouth is no easy task, everything is just big and heavy. I have my big rucksack and my big hammer and yes, i do walk away with some great finds !

I'd love to get back to Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Seaton and Beer. Next time I will have to go to Monmouth Beach at low tide because I'm determined to see the Ammonite footpath.

Its the famous ammonite pavement or graveyard at Monmouth. I'm sure its now classed as a world heritage site

Is it really that easy to find big nautilus and ammonites down there or did you get lucky? I have only ever hunted Yorkshire.

i think i may have got lucky, but someone has to find this stuff i guess !
