Do you lock up the cupboard containing all the keys and magnetic key? I’m just wondering how having everything locked up all the time actually works practically speaking. In the UK were being asked to put a lock on areas that I use all the time, such as our bedroom and garage which contains the washing machine, spare fridge etc because there are chemicals and tools.

I have a toddler and a newborn and I childproofed by just moving anything i didnt want them to play with I have three or four child proofing things on doorknobs and one on a mini fridge but only the bathrooms are our concerns so the babies dont drown in the toilet We have gates on the stairs but honestly we never bother to close them because we traned the toddler to stay off the stairs My toddler is also in charge of getting the detergent bottle out of the cabinet and handing it to us to fill the dishwasher I think it would be different with kids you didn't start with from scratch We're looking to adopt from the waiting children list 5-11 years old so I'm not sure the childproofing applies?
