For all of you dealing with old/sick hamsters. DIY heating pad: fill a sock with rice and microwave for 15ish seconds. Hold it on your wrist to see if it's warm but not hot, this is how you tell if it will burn them. I use them while they are out of the cage either getting extra food, medicine, or cuddles. Next, if you're hamster is losing weight for having a hard time eating give them baby food & oatmeal 3-4 times a day/night. The extra suger in the "breakfast" flavors will give them energy. Just make sure you aren't using anything with unsafe ingredients. I like plane carrot, chicken, oatmeal, rice ones myself. ♥️ Good luck! And know that your hammy is lucky to have you in their life. ♥️

Munchie, you need to give yourself a big pat on the back! You are really great at this, what a nice soul, especially because you put your heart into it! I know you have a bunch of helpers in the small animal community, but you did good! So nice to know there are still some Good Samaritans out there, I'm going to see if I have any small hamster supplies, I have guinea pigs, but a few things came from Ebay and Amazon and were way too small, more appropriate for hamsters, if you have a P.O. box, I can send them. Great job!🤗

I literally was just straight faced until I saw a tear in that little girls face, I just can’t- I can’t stop crying, she’s so heartbroken, I’m glad that family has another hamster to care for and also I just feel bad for zena (I believe that was her name) this vid is just so emotional😭

I am so happy for lil bean. For those two weeks she was in the best home anyone could’ve asked for. It was heartbreaking to see the little girls tears as she was going, but at least she knew that she was loved. RIP lil bean.

i may not be first, and I won't be last. but munchies you've been making all of these hamsters life better from the moment you pick them up to the day they go to their new homes. I happen to have one guinea pug as my other one died, but even if your channel is focused on hamsters, you've always been a big inspiration to me. I also happen to live in you state! when i first found this out I was amazed. I couldnt believe my home state had this big of an issue with hamster keeping. but slowly you've been making this problem/issue better so for that, I applaud you. your informing kits and parents the dos and don't of rodent keep and that is no easy task. 💕

My boyfriend thinks you're overreacting but I cant agree, I'm just as happy and excited these hamsters are finding homes that are suitable and happy. I'm the most happy about Cloud, Bon Bon, and the trio girls.

Rip sweet little Zena 1 like one prayer for future hamsters

You've given every rescue that was taken in has known compassion, and the absolute best care you could give. For as long or little as they were in your life they knew love.

The part about Zena had me crying a bit, she looked so much alike one of my previous hamsters. It also sucks when you lose rescues too quick. About a month ago I rescued a pair of dwarfs and last week found one of them passed in their enclosure, her sister actually ate her eyes when I found her and part of her cheek was ripped too. I didn’t know they do this to each other when they pass but it was a terrible sight. At least she went peacefully from what I could tell :(

Aww, poor hammys, my first hammy was a Chinese dwarf, he lived to be about nine, and survived school, no joke, he had no health issues either, I feel so bad for the passed on hammys, I’m glad that they had a good life for the time they were with you just for a while, your work is great and it’s nice knowing some people do care about hamsters and other small pets

I was anxious and needed a little break. So I thought "hey, let´s finish watching this video that I started to watch earlier. See some cute hamsters" and then we got to Xena's part. Now I just want to cry. I have been through similar situations in my life and no matter how many times you have to go through something like that, and it still doesn´t get easier. This is, unfortunately, the worst part of being a pet owner. We will miss Xena, even if our time with her was short.

Just like Lil' Bean my hammy had to be put to sleep because of a tumor which was 3 days ago. Her name was Cookie and she was a Syrian hamster. I really struggle knowing she is not with me anymore. She was only about 8 months old. That little girl in the photo reminded me of when i was spending the last moments with Cookie at the vet. Tears were constantly running down my cheeks with cookie in my arms laying down.

I had a hamster named rolo, he lived until just over 3. He was my first hamster from a breeder rather than a pet store ( they aren’t very reliable here in the U.K. ) before him I had like 6 hamsters from pet stores, me and my mom went twice in a week, same exact hamsters we viewed the first time, different employees one told us they were 8 weeks and another told us they were almost 1 which I was confused why they were still all 4 of them in the same tiny tank. That’s why I now go with reliable breeders! ❤️ ps I live you channel and you have helped me take good care of my hamsters! ❤️❤️

I love how excited you get when they find great homes! :) And it is very touching when you get emotional when they end up passing. It shows that you are passionate about what you're doing and love them. They definitely deserve you. ❤ I'm so sorry you have had to go through painful losses. I have ratties, and we lost Max on Christmas eve and Arissa was unexpectedly lost on christmas morning. It was horrible when they both passed. Sadly rodents just dont live long enough.

Please. More hammie updates. Cant wait. Just did a private purchase rescue. Winter white was in 12by9 inch cage. Almost no bedding. She is in a 50 gallon bin cage with tons of toys,hides 2wheels. Without the hamster utubers I wouldnt get care half right. Thankyou so much.

I adopted a hamster from PetSmart and the customer employee told me that he wasn't drinking or eating but when I brought him home after a few days he started to eat and drink and now he has a better life here at my house

I have a Syrian from petco who is super aggressive. She chases me down, even when she sees me walking past her cage. I moved her from a 200 qt bin to a detolf yesterday. I’m hoping to see her be a little happier as she adjusts. But sounds like the mills could be doing that with Syrians too.

Aww, I wish I could adopt the trio sisters! I’ve been wanting pet mice, and I have plenty of experience with other pocket pets. Unfortunately I don’t have the room for that amount of mice, as all I have left is a 10 gallon tank, and I live so far away. But I hope they get adopted soon, they seem so curious and cute!

For the hamster that past away and bleed to depth remembered me of my old hamster, that past away 2 moth ago. He was int normal. He did not let you hold him, but he let it you pet him. Finally one day he was not acting normal. He let it me hold him. I saw him died slowly. That night at 8PM he past away wen i went to grab him he was solid has a rock. We burred him next to my fish named Max and my fish named Bob. But at the end of the day i have pictures of the last moments of that day and i have a new hamster that likes to cuddle and lick your face.

Oddly, I adopted a hamster from Pets at Home who was, probably not aggressive but very very scared and attacked a lot, he looked a lot like oscar and mine passed away early aswell. I don't know how mine was treated before I got him but I feel the constant aggression and fear put too much stress on the lil guy and that's why I think he passed so soon

Hi munchies. I know this out of topic but I found a guy on KZfaq who I think needs some education regarding hamster care. His name is NICK SHELL and he keeps his lovely long haired Syrian in a small 20 gallon aquarium. I have told him that it is too small and suggested to get a 40 gallon one. He admitted to me he knows but will not upgrade because he says that his hamster is happy in it. He did not like me telling him and got stroppy about it.

Question can I adopt a hamster I have an I have set a Chinese north I hate pairing hamsters together I don’t do it if I have to have temporary homes homes for them when I need bedding and I can’t clean out the cage and it stinks so I move A two credit cage with not wanting to but I have to and he likes going between them for no internal reason
