Thank you. Have moms dark green candy dish she said it was her moms. I am 70, so it was made in the late 1800s or early 1900. Your right it is good quality. Thanks for your lesson. Learned much.

Katie, I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for this blog. I'm a Fostoria collector and I learned so much from this video! I primarily collect the American pattern, so it's refreshing to learn about other Fostoria patterns as well. Hope you'll post more Fostoria blogs in the near future! Thanks again!

Thanks Katie, I really enjoyed the lesson. I only have 1 piece of Fostoria, it's a vase from the 60's, it was my mothers. Keep safe and happy 😊

Wow! 43 cents. Good thing you had the eagle eye for Fostoria. I learned so much from your video. Lancaster blood red versus Fostoria’s much prettier red...the coin pattern differences... And those baroque candlesticks by Fostoria are just exquisite. How very special. I’m so glad to see how you take such care to hold them gently and how much you appreciate the treasures you have. I’m thinking about watching the video again because there was so much to learn

I got a sherbet/champagne topaz with clear stem set of 6 for a dollar each at the Salvation Army. Fostoria is etched at the base. I can't recognize the pattern though. It's a floral pattern with no ribbons or figurines. It's not etched like some where the vessel is completely covered. I also have this conical candy dish in pink but I don't know if it's tiffin or fostoria. It's also etched, clearly elegant glass as opposed to depression glass.

Thank you for teaching us. I see coin glass at auctions around here. But never really pay much attention to it. I will now. lol I have a clear dish that kinda looks like a crown. Makes me wonder now who makes it. Never admit to anyone in a thrift store if something is worth money. Just go along with them and just say I am only getting it cause i like it lol I like the candle holders. A little Hollywood mixed with art deco design to me.

Thank you for watching. Fostoria pieces are usually not marked on the bottom. They were marked with the stickers originally, but a lot of people took the stickers off.

American did make feet on their larger platters and and some smaller dishes. I bought service for 8 with over 100 pieces for $100.00 dollars.

I love your story about the resellers. Having a story about an object does make it better. Of family stories are the best. I have many items that I wouldn't sell for any amount of money. Stuff I buy is for sell always unless I have a story to go along it.

Many people confuse Romance and June. They both have bows. The Romance is only in Crystal and and has a different ribbon, As for Crown, there are 4 different crowns in the Fostoria Crown collection. There is a great video on KZfaq on Fostoria Crown, Check it out, on the channel, Bert Staton, titled, *"Bert Straton - My Fostoria Crown Collection"* You did a great job. Thanks. My family has sold vintage glass over 40 years.

What amazing information I’ve learned so much. Katie, can you please tell me Fostoria’s coin pattern, what colors did it come in?
@vintageandvinyl
@vintageandvinyl 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Absolutely, Fostoria coin came in many colors. The colors changed with generations. Blue, Olive, clear, red, amber... Lancaster Colony never reproduced the Amber and Olive. Original 1st Gen blue is like a sea or ice blue. LC reproduction is a deep navy blue. Fostoria’s red is a tomato red. LC’s is a deep blood red. LC colony reproductions came in blue, red, clear, purple.

I picked up a 11" 2 pc. glass candle fairy light for $10 at a thrift store. After researching I do believe its fostoria however I cant seem to find such a item any where on line. Do you know if they made pieces like this. it has 4 lines in the pressed glass & glows a yellowish color under a black light. Thanks for any insight you might have & ps loving your videos! # NewSubscriber
