In this episode of Adventures with Purpose, we return to the Corbett Boat Ramp at the Columbia River about 15 miles East of Portland, Oregon for another vehicle recovery.
This time we found two missing trucks in the river.
Some scuba divers go south to look at pretty fish, our team dives for river treasure.
Was it auto insurance fraud or were they simply stolen trucks?
We still have six more cars, trucks, and even a jeep in the river at this location still.
Crazy... Right?

Jared half the fun is hearing you talk and your thoughts. My fav is your very detailed drawings of how the vehicle is sitting in the water and I love trying to predict how you will go about the recovery. On rare occasion I've found myself even thinking "I wonder if they-" and then you say "we are gonna-" and the thing I was wondering about you go ahead and do! Makes me feel like I have, in fact, learned a thing or two from watching! You have made my bucket list. I hope to some day come out to one (at least!) of your dives and help support in any capacity I can.

Please please use a winch dampener, they’re cheap enough & will save any unfortunate accidents. You can carry one around with you in the van, always a good idea when winching 👍

I know I’m a kid but I just wanted to say that this guy dose so many things for families to find there sons,daughters,cousins,etc etc. He is a hero with a diving power with his passion of diving he would have never found the 12 year old and the guy in the white truck .he love saving the world to clean up all the trash.This man should be Hollywood fix! They should give him a meatle for the things he dose! This man is a hero to the family members he has saved and desescoverd!❤️🙂

Well I enjoy listening to all the information on how you guys be cover the vehicles on how you do it it's amazing and I appreciate you guys cleaning up the rivers even though they're not here in Colorado but maybe someday I'm not too sure how many cars we have still down in our Colorado River I know we have used them back in the day to protect the banks from eroding and I think it's awesome when you're able to recover someone's loved one that has happened to either fall asleep behind the wheel and going to the river or other means of suicide it's really sad now I'm going to finish watching the video.

I wanted to start this response off by saying how nice it was to have Tatum on the other end of the audio, talking to everyone and being able to know whats going on or whats needed and ready to grab and go. And i wanted to say you should keep him on that spot to communicate with you till you released the sad news. I sure hope him and his family get the help needed and recover and heal from all thats needed. I thought it was awesome to have him communicate with you and sad to hear he has to leave. I hope everything gets better and he can return to duty after taking care of his partner. It was nice to see you was excited to hear him on audio, makes a great team being great friends together. Wish everyone healing and comfort threw the tough time. Support from Indiana. PS: I do have some 2nd opinions on your operations of Adventures with Purpose if interested. I also have p.o.t.s and mass cell. Praying for his wife !! To live with p.o.t.s is horrible I know what she's going through. I pass out and have seizures alot also. I have limited mobility. Awe I'm sorry to see Tatum go. Please keep us updated on how your family is doing. I have a laundry list of auto immune disorders and can symathize with how useless hospitals can be. I went in with chest pain, dizzy and passed out. The original dr said oh it's your blood sugar. Luckily a nurse said no that her blood sugar is excellent. With a couple more tests I was found to have a blood clot in my lung and was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism. If I had of left there's a good chance I wouldn't be telling this story. Sending best wishes and care to your family.

You may consider adding a short strap with velcro on the bags, so you can roll them in a compact bundle, they will make much less drag when you bring the bags down to the cars.

Ok, for the record, before this hits regular KZfaq tomorrow, I just want you all to know that I knew I could pull the Toyota to the top of the ramp before it ever moved. My first attempts, to the left, were solely to get a better angle at the bottom of the ramp. once I adjusted to the right onto the blacktop area, I got traction and the rest should have been history. As soon as it moved, I knew that I "had it". I put my foot into it and, here we go!! Until Jason came back down to see if we needed help. He could not back up fast enough, safely, to get out of my way so I slowed down and lost momentum. I backed up twice and adjusted left into dryer ground and with a little pull from Jason got moving again and went almost to the top with the tow strap slack. Towards the top I eased up a bit and took the slack out, so that we could stop in the best place for James to get it later. I have been driving professionally, in one way or another, since 1980, I knew exactly what I was doing and, to his credit, Jason knew exactly what to do to get me moving again. In the end, easy pick for James and Elite who are both *AWESOME*!!!! You all would have seen this, of course, if Jared had hit the "record" button.

I just wonder how many cold cases there are that have not been solved, and yet when you guys go to clean the rivers or lakes suddenly appears the vehicle,with either a sad ending, or some closure.
