Ron found 82 LBS of Spanish Gold bars in Arizona while treasure hunting for lost mines and buried treasures. Kelly Nielson shares with us Ron's story, how he met him and about the stories he told. Arizona has a lot of stories about hidden Spanish treasures, gold bars, mines etc, that have been the subject of a lot of treasure hunters research and expeditions. Ron just happens to be one that told his story so that we know about it. There are more that don't tell their stories than do, thanks Kelly for sharing with us.

My son in law is Kelly's neighbor and one evening we dropped in on Kelly in his home, and I just wanted to say what a very nice person he is. He spent hours talking to us, he is so knowledgeable, genuine and friendly. Thank you, Kelly, for taking the time you spent with us and I'm looking forward to future conversations. I enjoyed this video too.

Let me find out you didn't file a tax return and see what happens. N don't pull some I was 5, that is to much $ to be claimed on your parents return. Wait, 1958 you were in yellowstone n found a kiln. You didn't mention a parent found it which makes me believe you were 15 to 25 and if so, I'm gonna cut u a break. The fact a damn near 90 year old is commenting on a KZfaq video is amazing. I'm gonna let this one slide, your welcome. - your local tax man

A wonderful story! Thank you! I've never been much of a treasure hunter but i'm fascinated with the history and stories of both how the treasures got there and the rumors and accounts of how they were found For all the folks holding onto history secrets..please write them down to be shared when the time is right. Hate to lose all the rich and historic tales.

Man I would completely flip out if I found just one of those bars of gold but to find 86 pounds is incredible. That's what dreams are made of for me. I live in northern New Mexico in the mountains and I have a few places I've found some stuff at and I'm busy working on figuring out what it all could mean. It would be a dream come true if I can find something substantial. Treasure hunting has always been in my blood I got it from my dad and he from his. It's a hard life at times but learning the history and being in the mountains is priceless.

Hey Terry hope you're doing all right man.. so I didn't read all 71 of the comments so I'm just going to go ahead and say what I was thinking. I detect the treasure Coast here in Florida and I understand the significance of the value of Spanish golf from historic point of view.. you know everybody's like whoa 82 lb of gold and it's worth this much .... ....that's just gold value.... if that is truly of Spanish origin or has anything to do with any kind of history as far as Aztec gold or 1715 revolt ..... no matter it does have a story behind it that could take that 82 pounds of gold and Jack that price into the millions just because of the history . I just wanted to throw that in really cool story thanks for taking the time to do the interview and sharing it with everyone... there's more out there🪙🪙🪙🪙🪙🪙🪙💰💰💰💰💰💰 treasures where you find it 🏴‍☠️

I know one thing I live in the wrong part of the country as far as ever finding anything of value such as gold and silver. I live in Pennsylvania, in my early years I researched many Civil War sites such as the Dent Run treasure (recently found and stolen by the FBI), I searched for the famous Ledge of Silver along the Clarion River/Allegheny River area, Pit Hole ghost town and many more but never had a chance to spend much time West of the Mississippi. Though, I have many of those treasure magazines and have done lots of research, my travels have eluded me. These are better times since the 1970's with better technology and many more treasures are being unearthed. Keep up the good work and keep all your knowledge to yourself until ready to divulge it.

The stone monument at the start caught my eye! I found 3 pyrmidical monuments, about 100 yards apart and in a line. I immediately recognized they were not typical claim monuments as they were way to large and someone went to a lot of work to build them. Nor were they in the right configuration to mark corners. I looked and detected around the area but found nothing else. Very intriguing.

The very best metal detectors back then can barely pick up a zink penny more than 2 inches deep. I'd bet the nothing points on the cross were just deeper and a modern detector would hit on target. I've got a little ditty that does long range detecting several miles radius picking up every micron and shows depth and distance but it picks up EVERY MICRON for miles around but a grid triangulation can eliminate many of the lesser targets. There are some filter techniques also.
