It does not get very big but it is very comfortable.

Mr. Volt, you're the tetris king. I didn't think you were going to be able to get as much as you did. It's so great that you're able to spread the word about what you're doing and getting stores to contact you so you can pick up instead of picking it out of the dumpsters. I know this particular store didn't call, but it was great that you went back to take a second look. Glad you finally like brussel sprouts because they are delish. Fresh is definitely best.

I LOVE fresh Brussell sprouts. Usually just steam (leaving them somewhat crunchy) them with seasoning.

I put Brussels sprouts in a big bowl add olive oil, garlic, onion, salt pepper cayenne pepper flakes and roast them in the oven. I use to hate them but not now

Same thing here in Chicago i keep an eye on a contract packager that works with powdered foods.I have seen pallets of lemonpudding turkey gravy beef boullion and cappachino all the time being dumped . I knew them from my days as a roll off driver. I diverted 2 30 yd, containers of maxwell house k cups from the landfill over 1000 cases in all varieties i sold them at2$ a case and donated all the money .Working midnights has its advantages.

Yes there are a few that we donate to but we usually only show the donations to the blessing boxes because of privacy reasons. We can show donations without showing too much of the people getting the donations. We donate to different places but like to show the blessing boxes for the videos. If there are people around we try to not get a close up of anyone.

Woooo that's a lot of cheese puffs I got a bunch of as seen on tv things and a lot of hair care out or dg Walgreens had snacks soup broth and crackers lots of it filled the entire car, Did I tell you we have a new Krispy Kreme bakery here they throw out hundreds of box's of doughnuts every day coded 3 or 4 days ahead 6 12 and 18 count assorted its criminal fills a 8 yard front load dumpster every other day. All flavors even rare ones. They told us take all you want,it saves them on dumpster space,

Today is sunday march 10 @ 230 they dumped about 300 boxs of donughts that was one delivery truck they brought out about 3 bags full of loose donughts and a bunch of frosting pails. thats some nice 5 gallon buckets i took about maybe 75 boxs thats all i can give away.@@voltdivin

I understand you donate but why not just take half and leave it for other people who are ashamed to go to food pantries but dumpster dive for food? Just asking

very few people dumpster dive they have a paranoia about taking throw away they have no idea about how clean store dumpsters really are.If they only knew I have left stuff countless times just to see the garbage truck pick it up.

We took as much as we could fit into our car and trailer because it was starting to rain that night we have been getting huge amounts of rain here in California. So we knew that if we didn't take as much as we could it would all end up in the dumpster the next day soaked. We did leave some because there were another scrapper that showed up and we saw another person later. This was not a busy area so there wasn't going to be too many more people showing up so instead we took what we had which was a bout a pallet and a half and filled up 4 blessing boxes. These boxes are readily available to the community and many people know when they need food they can check these boxes. They do not have to ask anyone for what's inside they can just go and pick what they want. There are kids from the local schools that will pick out snacks on their way home. There are a lot of senior citizens as well who use these blessing boxes to supplement the very low amount of food assistance they get and they are not able to dumpster dive for food. So we figure if we are able to take it then we will take it and drop it off somewhere more accessible especially since this was left out for people to take. If the businesses see that the food is still there days after or people make a mess they will stop doing this and just throw it away so hopefully they see that it's being used and they will keep leaving food for people to take instead of it going to the trash.
