(Chorus) Counting sheep in the sky, tangled in deceit's ties, Ulterior motives, whispered in disguise, Everyone knows, secrets that you keep, Tell me the truth, every move reveals the deep. (Verse 2) Sheep turn to wolves, in the moonlit night, Dancing with shadows, chasing the light, No more illusions, let the honesty rise, Break the chains of deceit, unveil the lies. (Chorus) Counting sheep in the sky, tangled in deceit's ties, Ulterior motives, whispered in disguise, Everyone knows, secrets that you keep, Tell me the truth, every move reveals the deep. (Chorus) Counting sheep in the sky, tangled in deceit's ties, Ulterior motives, whispered in disguise, Everyone knows, secrets that you keep, Tell me the truth, every move reveals the deep. Often songs are named what the hook is and it's clear that "Everyone knows that" is the hook
@NicoZShorts7 ай бұрын
@@meadowsproductions981 I dunno, there were songs like "I'm Yours" & "Time After Time", which turned out to be "Is This Love?" & "Falling In Love With Mannequins". Now, the difference between "I'm yours" & "Is This Love?" is comprehensible & can be blurred together, but "Time After Time" & "Falling In Love With Mannequins"? Those have NOTHING to with each other. And a majority of lostwave songs' hooks don't feature the title, like "Letters Of Love", "Maniac Laugh" was just "Weird ha ha ha ha song", and so many others! For all we know, "Everyone Knows That" could be called "The Way To Make Rice"! I mean, it's not an IMPOSSIBILITY, but the majority of the song get lost BECAUSE people think the name of the song is the hook! Or the name of the song ISN'T IN THE SONG. Now there are plenty of songs that get away with that, one of the most famous ever being "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen, but for the songs that get played rarely with no song name in the hook, they'll get lost & obscure because people will get confused. Just something to think about. I mean, we might have already found "Everyone Knows That" if we just did some searching (could be very short or very lengthy amount of time), with the Google Search tool "Searches before (year, month day)", before all the fuss builded up, and the fakes with all that. Though this could just mean "Everyone Knows That" is just so obscure, and is just not on the internet, but let's just hope for the best case scenario, where you're right, and it's just wedged in the internet somewhere, finally found, but failing in the SEO due to fakes.
@NicoZShorts7 ай бұрын
To summarize, many songs in Lostwave don't have their song name in the hook, but that doesn't necessarily mean that "Everyone Knows That" doesn't either.

In other words some of the assumed English lyrics might actually be Japanese phrases. Listening closely I think the first two lines of lyrics actually are: hikari nori hi in the sky ("sun that rides the light in the sky") kouten wo oblige ("oblige the fair weather") The word "kouten" coincidentally translates to "fair weather" or less commonly "stormy weather", this seems correct because it matches thematically with the first line likely being about a sun in the sky.

This could be featured in a toy or a commercial from the 80s but hasn’t been really looked into 3. I hear an accent when the singer sang “of liesssss” and it could be a japanese or a filipino singer since they also sing English, i could tell because there were a bunch of city pop songs that are japanese and filipino in the 90s. 4. This really needs to be looked into because there were a bunch of new wave songs that couldve been hits but unfortunately couldn’t in the 80s. There were a bunch of small bands and pop duos that don’t get enough recognition. I also also very suspicious because if its only 20 seconds, we wouldve actually found the song if the guy posted the whole song, it also doesnt make sense when the rest of the recording is gone. When the part at the end, “Every move shows” stops. If it is a commercial or a toy, it doesnt make sense if it just stops at there unless the guy only recorded that part like from an MTV or a eurovision and the rest is gone but it isn’t clear because it is from a DVD backup.

Sorry for those who say it's an advert but it's not possible, the music doesn't sound like advert music at all apart from the chorus, listen carefully to the beginning of the music and the end, it can't be enter an ad, especially if the ad only contains images and music without superimposed words to present the product.

It's more than likely made by a little-known new wave 80s band. Although the audio quality is terrible, it still also sounds way too polished to be a studio demo. Perhaps an early version of a track that whoever ran the radio station managed to get their hands on, or perhaps knew members of the band.

@LightestKing7 ай бұрын
I honestly think this is out of the realm for English speakers to solve, from the pronouciation and the instrumental i agree with some in believing this comes from a Japanese commercial. I mean there's a Japanese gum (or mint idk) commercial with Whoopi Goldberg on a subway so English media within the counter is not impossible. I think much like Hitogata and Jeff The Killer, the answer to this song can only be found by Japanese speakers who can look for it easier and possibly understand the lyrics more when taking accent into account. Maybe some of the people who have commercial yearbooks from the 90s in Japan could help search for it
@polymationsАй бұрын
You've probably heard the news by now, it was fully an American song, no japanese parts.

To me… this doesn’t sound 80’s. Sounds more like 92-94ish and it was a song made for a tv episode as background music at a restaurant. As the teens stop talking and the scene ends the volume turns up at the chorus “everyone knows that” … fade to next scene. Just find the show.
