Old Fitzgerald is a bourbon whiskey, still exists. "Cordons" was probably Gordon's Gin. They still make that too. Both have been around a while. Love that brick and wheel. You will def need to go back with your Bride and find more!

Epping bottle goes along with the 7up bottles. Epping bottled their own brand and 7up, in Louisville & Lexington Kentucky. Odd you found them in Alabama. I specialize in small town Kentucky bottles, Louisville & Lexington are big towns.

Wow cool finding that bottle dump. 👍 It sure is a mystery how the smaller bottles survive, and a lot of the bigger ones don't. Maybe because a lot of the smaller ones are a bit thicker glass than some of there bigger cousins. 🤔 Thanks for taking us along.

Not a mystery at all what’s more likely to be broken a window the size of a truck or a porthole sized one. Also most bottles are strongest at the angles and curves

As kids we use to dig in a dump from the railroad stop in Kansas. We found lots of bottles, pottery, scrap metal, unidentifiable stuff. I have an old petrified cow hoof from the dump. The RR ran through our town in the 1800s and there was a supply/refueling stop. The trash was shoveled out at this stop too. Many of my little cousins dig there now. However the bottles where the best!!

That's an odd brick. I find solid ones here in various sizes. A big fat one was marked "Glasgow 1879" others are unmarked, and yellow firebricks are marked Cowen, Marine and Mex-Ko. All are solid, not holed. The Duraglas name was used 1928-54? Federal Law Prohibits are 1933-63. Gordon's gin?

Hello! I wanted to share a story So a couple years ago my family bought s9 e land and people say that the family that lived thare a long time ago didn’t have banks so people used to hide thare money in tharre houses or burry it we haven’t found anything yet, But in the forest thare is TONS of old bottles shoes buckets old farm supplies old cooking supplies and old cooking mixers and a BUNCH of wisky bottles 🤣 and this house is super old. And thare is a barn that we renovated into a cabon a small lil house but the house was to damaged to renovate and a bunch of sheds and little animal spots. When we first went in the barn we found a fake flower in a pot with a spam container and a old radio🤣 I guess somone had a spam date lol but thats all!

@@ExploringAlabama It says at the top of their web site "NOTICE: The Postal Service is an essential government service, and will remain open wherever possible." and there's no notices on the websites of the three post offices that are in that town that anything is closed. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong town. It just doesn't sound legal to withhold mail from citizens. What if it were some sort of lifesaving equipment or important legal document that someone's waiting for?
