I worked with Mr. Moore on his last outing as 007 in A VIEW TO A KILL. He was the consummate professional and a terrifically nice guy. Barbara Broccoli is truly a fantastic person and producer. I owe her much. Rest easy, Sir Roger. They broke the mold with you. D.A.

Well said. I never heard any say anything negative about him, and was fortunate enough to meet him a couple times. Cynics have said, "Never meet your heroes", and I completely disagree with that view. Just an amazing amount of patience, and knew how to handle stardom by being kind and generous to his fans. He represents a generation of actors who people could look up to and admire. I agree that they broke the mold with him!

@urbanyouths Amigo ... I was a lowly Location Scout and Assistant Location Manager on the San Francisco scenes. Not that I need to prove anything to someone who wasn't there 40 years ago. Have a nice life.

According to one article I’ve read, Roger Moore was Ian Fleming’s original choice to play Bond. However, he was making “The Saint” and couldn’t get out of it to make “Dr. No,” so Sean Connery got the part.

Roger is the coolest. Loved also hearing him talking about Bond and meeting the Queen.

Bless Roger Moore! I had no idea he appeared on O&A. He was getting old and frail at this point, but he was still mentally alert and quick witted.

I've heard Harry Saltzman say Roger Moore was the Bond he wanted for Dr No Roger Moore without doubt the nicest most gentlemanly Bond actor of all time I doubt we will ever see a Bond like Sir Roger again.

I was just one year old when his first Bond film - LIVE AND LET DIE - came out, so I grew up with Sir Roger Moore's 007. He'll always be MY 007.

Thank you all for toning down the buffoonery to show due respect to a legend. Unfortunately we have few role models in the US to show young men what a gentleman looks or acts like. I appreciate you guys not shaming America in the eyes of a true gentleman.

Moore carried the whole interview. these guys r a joke in every sense of the word in this episode.

It's unnerving to watch a bunch of idiots asking clueless questions to such a legend as Roger Moore. If I were the one to do the asking, I would have asked way more interesting questions.

@mlzema. Actually, Ian Fleming's original choice to play James Bond was David Niven. Then he thought that Cary Grant would make an excellent Bond but Grant turned down the role because Grant felt that he was too old for the role of Bond.

I read that Ian thought Sean too uncouth for Bond.

this guy didn't know nothing about Bong movies. he even didn't know who was after RM and who was anther producer, and then still he interviewed RM. do your homework!

It bugs me that Roger Moore didn't know tho get close to the mic. I had to put on head phones and turn the vol. all the way up just so that I could faintly hear.
@mr.brenman2132 Жыл бұрын
Maybe you're deaf. It's not on him to mess with the mic.
@droppinbass1882 Жыл бұрын
@@mr.brenman2132 what a dumb comment. You can't hear hardly anything he says. Why go on a talk show if no one can hear you talk? This guy's been on enough movie and tv shows to understand the basics of audio recording. That's why everyone but vos has headphones on so they can hear the mix and if they need to move closer or further from the mic.

After watching the entire interview I definitely agree with you. Only because I really wanted to hear what Roger was saying. Was Roger Moore the "biggest"/most acclaimed actor O&A ever had in the studio?
