11 жыл бұрынIt was 28ºF when I filmed this. Soooo I hope you like it. That's also why there are no closeups for the last two...I was so cold that I forgot. xD
Additionally, I was going to link to the clothing items here, but most of them are no longer online. This video is more about advice than it is about the clothes, sorry!

Love all of these! My preferred method of staying warm is sweatpants and fleece blankets while I stay inside drinking tea and watching netflix, But I also have to work in an irregularly heated library. And wait for transit in -25C weather and sit on stuffy overly hot buses. So layers are the key to my existence these days. So many leggings, scarves and cardigans. And an expensive winter jacket. The only thing worth spending hundreds of dollars on because it makes such a huge difference.

Triple-layer wool tights and wool thermals, get a ridiculously warm jacket or just stay inside (that's what I do). I also recommend wearing blankets to school/work for comfort reasons and then telling people that it's a poncho.

Undershirt/tanktop, long sleeved waffle shirt, cute wool sweater, cute and WARM coat, wool socks, cute and WARM boots (recommending Sorrels), jeans with long underwear underneath, hat, mittens, and a scarf that matches that you can pull over your face. Keys are layers, and wearing a hat, mittens/gloves, and a scarf. Coming from a Minnesotan, I live that weather all the time in the winter. (It still probably won't be warm enough. That's freaking cold.)

I feel you my friend! I always manage to get frost bites wearing jeans, even if I had 1000 pair of tights and leggins underneath. Actually long skirts keep the warmth escaping the best! Just wear multiple warm tights and leggins or anything warm you can find in your closet underneath and no one will know~ Just don't choose a skirt of thin fabric. Also it's best to style it with tall boots if your skirt doesn't reach your ankles :D

Wooly trousers, jeans, thick jumper, huge scarf, down jacket (when it gets that cold, i don't care about being judged anymore), mittens+hat :) but especially the wooly trousers.

Oh, also general tip: don't overlook your legs, because if they're warm then you'll probably feel warmer with less on your torso.

I know it isn't fashionable but I wear a winter coat-- a ski coat-- with a hat and mitts. If it's really cold out, I'll wear a pair of tights under my jeans.

Thank you so much for this! I've lived in Singapore all my life and it's constantly like 30 degrees out here. I'm moving to London this September for University and I had no clue how to keep warm and not look like a marshmallow. This helps :D

Actually the long sleeve stretchy undershirts from Primark are my favourite. They are weirdly warm. I have three (I think they were only about £2.50) and just rotate them xD My leggings are old ones that I think I got at American Apparel. Expensive, but long-lasting.

Great video - I wish I was better in layering so that I would not get stuck in my same warm jumpers each year. I have a ton of t-shirts and it doesn't get warm so often to wear them all, at least no on their own - if I was better in layering them I could wear them all year round... Liked the way of presenting and undershirts and leggings really are key!

None of these clothes are expensive. The most expensive thing here was a winter coat that was about £70.

I have like ten different pop up hoodies like the one you wore for can't be bothered. They're pretty much my entire wardrobe. :P They work really well. I'm practically known for wearing them now. xD

Lots of layers? Flannel? Windproof pants and a ski jacket/parka? As a guy I really feel sorry for girls in the winter...or at least the ones that can't seem to keep warm. :/ Where do you live that gets so cold? And what have you tried?

If I would wear that many layers I would not survive. It´s snowing outside and I´m still wearing short sleeves. I guess I just have some crazy intern radiator or something like that. xD

Where do you tend to get your leggings and undershirts? I don't like to spend a lot of money on them, but I find that ones from Primark etc wear out very quickly!
