Acclimate to altitude in Aspen for at least 2 days before going higher

I’m going next week. Loved your video! It’s gorgeous. Any advice? It’s my first solo backpacking trip & I’m from TX so the elevation will be interesting.

Doing this in a couple weeks, CCW from Crested Butte. Could you tell me the campsite #’s you stayed at? Nighttime temps? Trail crowded? Good score on the parking pass…

I didn’t have any numbers on my sites. I stayed night one at Snowmass Lake and the second night just a random spot before Frigid Air Pass. Night time temps were in the low 40s I’d guess. I was very comfortable.

What dates did you go? Looks like you were early in the season. Not much wild flower meadows but also looks like very few bugs. Wildflowers I believe are closer to mid July to early Aug. Trying to figure out what time to go next year. Great video!

Awesome video! Super excited to do this in August I live a few hours away from this in Colorado. Do you know what your total pack weight was? I'm a lighter guy so wanna try to keep mine at or under 30 pounds, just curious if you knew yours
