I got lucky enough to come across 6 of them at the head end of a loaded unit coal train on old IC tracks coming out of Mt Pulaski IL. All 6 barking and screaming getting that train moving looked like a smoke show from an old steam engine. Awesome rumble! Awesome roar! Awesome sight!

Very cool Robert. It’s amazing that every class 1 RR and countless class 2’s all still have SD40-2’s in their rosters. Definitely one of the greatest diesel locomotives ever created! I wish I had a chance to see the IC, you’re lucky. Appreciate you stopping by and the nice comment Robert👍🏼😎🇺🇸

Oh yeah it's a pretty cool sight to see them 170ft over the monogahela river! I don't have a scanner, let alone know W& LE's frequency, so these are just random, right place, right time catches. The trestles in tonight's vid are the old Pittsburgh & West Virginia RR's, built in 1930, still standing strong 💪🏻🇺🇲. Maybe in the future we can meet up, possibly get Pappy in the mix too 😁. Appreciate you watching, it's starting to storm here in Belle Vernon, I'm sure you're getting it too, have a good evening 👍🏻😎🇺🇲

What time of day is this, so so many times thru there and have never seen a train on these trestles, and you get them all the time. Live you catches, glad your catching them for us Eddie.. appreciate you

This was around 730pm, it's just random sightings for me, there's really no set time you see them everyday, it's usually between 6-10pm is mainly when I catch them. It's definitely cool seeing them on the lower curved trestle, that track is OLD. If I get another vid down there I'll get a date from the rail after they pass by. Have a great weekend Pappy 😎👍🏻🇺🇲🍺
