What has happened to us? How can we come together to appreciate such beauty and awesomeness in the music we find and yet be so divided? When did we get so lost??

Thank you, Chuck, for December Dream! If you had created only that one song in your entire life, your mission on Earth would make sense. Rest in peace!

Man, I tell you the truth! Every time I watch this clip and I look at the sheer awesomeness of ALL four of these men, I can't help but to feel overwhelmed by the lost of Mr. Chuck Loeb. I know how this saddens me but, to have performed side by side with this GREAT guitarist like these guys did, I can ONLY image the pain that they must have felt by this TERRIBLE lost in a friend, brother, band member, etc! However, HE has done what we ALL must do someday but, I just wanted to say THANK YOU Mr. Chuck Loeb for BLESSING us ALL with your simply "AMAZING" talent!!! GOD BLESS YOU MY BROTHER AND RIP........AMEN.😋😌

So pity, so pity, would like to have them just working like this way.....
@dickhowser46593 жыл бұрын
I guess my thought is a little different and focuses on the music or playlist.....the effect is one more built off tone/unusual sounds and effects rather than their normal workout on their instruments demonstrating their speed, skill, and intricate moves all over the neck and keyboard.....and classy hooks. Yes, maybe a tad more abstract musically than I prefer or am accustomed from Fourplay. They typically personify smooth jazz with linear arrangements and discernible melody lines, not buried in synthesizer backgrounds and digital sound wave effects. I'm guessing this was because of the venue/site/event at which this performance took place....trying to relate to the native population and audience.
@channel-nv9xc Жыл бұрын
It's funny you would say this. I was just about to write that the performance is a lot less smooth jazz and somewhat more similar to a fusion/bebop combination. More like I would expect from a Spiro Gyra than Fourplay. That's a similar observation to yours. But then I was going to say that I like this sound a lot more than the usual smooth jazz from Fourplay, which I'm guessing is the opposite conclusion of yours.
@johnmaer Жыл бұрын
@@channel-nv9xc Let me weigh in and commend you for the reaction. This is a far more abstract, pure jazz kind of performance, no doubt about it. On the other hand, they integrated classical composition/arrangement, world music sounds/tempos, and atmospherics if there is such a descriptive word. Many Fourplay fans are not accustomed to this type of concert/set-list, but I wouldn't say it was a disappointment, just quite different and a bit more challenging to pin down and get on top of. These fellows are/were some very talented musicians and prodigy level skill on their respective instrument. If they wanted to perform or cover Jobim, Sergio Mendes, Vivaldi, Wagner, Chick Corea, or Spiro Gyra, I don't think they would disappoint. This concert just shows how versatile, what range they have, and the musical genre they can dabble in. I like this music, and it is a change of pace from the usual Fourplay setlist.

Why they change so many guitarists?
@hajeno464 жыл бұрын
Lee Ritenour, Larry Carlton and Chuck Loeb. That is not "many " . And every single one of them an excellent guitarist with his own way of playing.
@BigJwlz2 жыл бұрын
Ritenour and Carlton left to concentrate on their solo careers.
