surely the price of this + a high end semi dry is getting into proper drysuit territory

Apeks semi dry is one of the best and it costs 515€ this costs 160€, thats 675€. For that price you can buy very nice undersuit like santi BZ400 or BZ400x if you can find it on discount, not much more. You are not even close to drysuit territory
