Why does hardly anyone comment on the existential dread clearly present in all of his lyrics? These lyrics are insanely depressing, especially if you relate to what he's saying. The songs still slap though, without a doubt. The loneliness in his lyrics is so palpable, though. He strikes me as a guy who wears a fake smile simply because it goes over better than a genuine frown. Maybe I'm thinking too deeply about it all. But I really fuck with his presentation here.

I have always been asking the same question, I obviously love the music but he always adds these lyrics which always somehow hit close to home. Like I always get goosebumps on the "Because honestly the truth is, noone's enjoying this anyway" part 💀

The way I look at it the sadness and chaos of the world can make you drown. It's heavy. Yeah, the lyrics are dark, but so is our world. It's up to us to find the beauty and light in it. Art is light. Art heals. Music is art. It's a form of escapism, and if you can find a way to take the heaviness of the world and eacape, then you've taken a tiny step to keep yourself sane and happy.
