I was standing in a small parking lot before sunrise one morning waiting for a store to open. A bolt of lightening hit a transformer 10 to 15 feet away from me. It was so bright and scared the shit out of me. I admit it made me jump. As a kid we would hear that if lightning was about to strike close to you that your hair would almost stand up. I can say that is a debunked myth if you've ever heard that.

I was pedaling my bicycle on Wilson rd as a youngster on way home from work when a lightning strike also hit a transformer very close proximity to me. It startled the shi* out of me. I will never forget
