Wild, I buy a switch for like $10 at autozone, wire it to the fuel pump, hid it in my car. when I get out I flip the switch. it would cut power to the fuel pump. I've had dozens of cars over the years, most performance cars, never one stolen. Couple smashed windows, but never stolen. I was doing that on 99 civic's I bought for 3k......

I’m so glad I got it all in camera for insurance purposes at the very least. Plus I know exactly how they stole it so I can prevent it from happening on any other cars I own in the future.

They reprogrammed the key,the key hidden in a Faraday cage wont do anything as the cars computer is reprogrammed...thus no keys needed from the owner the cars key could be 11,000 miles away and you can reprogram it as you just witnessed. Dealers do it for example you lost your keys aka remote fob for keyless start/push button start on your dash...Alarm wont work as car already had one,steering wheel lock can be easily removed in 10 seconds by a thief..Remember if they really want your car they can have a truck and tow it away,some thieves use stolen tow trucks.

A cable lock goes through the steering wheel at a different point than lock bar and connects to seatbelt lock. Thieves need multiple tools or must saw two points on steering wheel.

Guys, a decently installed aftermarket alarm will help slow down or prevent all of that from occurring since it also cuts off power to the starter &/or ignition while making some degree of unwanted noise to the crooks.

They could also steal a flat-bed tow truck and haul it away.

So would a hidden switch to turn off the starter and or fuel pump.... let's see them start it then....
