It's certainly not a bargain to make him the highest paid player in the entire league. The most valuable player on the avs, Makar has a 9mil cap hit.

The cap better goes up otherwise the Avs are going to be hard to be retain their other players. I didn’t think it would go over $11 million per season.

If an 80 point guy gets 12.5, then mcdavid should be earning 20 mill a year. What an atrocious contract.

Bro what, the only reason he didn't score 110+ is bc he only played 65 games last season. Not to mention the cap is way higher now than when McDavid was signed so 12.6 is a lower percentage of the total cap. Not to Mac has a cup under his belt, that tends to make any player more expensive

@@Hi_Flyers Stop with the mental gymnastics. Mackinnon will never be as good as mcdavid or matthews. However you look at it, it's a bad contract. He probably only has 2 - 3 good years left and they just gave him over 100 million dollar contract. Bad bad bad

@@rademfam6856 Colorado "swept" a bubble hockey team with 2 players with an aging goalie, that's who avalanche played in CF. We all saw what happened when they faced against real cup contender 2 years ago - las vegas reverse swept the avs. Yeah they won a cup last year but how did the avs get there? They probably had the easiest path to the cup in nhl's history.
