Every minute of every hour of every day, men, women, and children are being sold into slavery and they have little to no hope of ever being free like you and me. And no matter the leaps and bounds of human technology, a large part of society just can't seem to get past their stone age mentality

I grew up like this and when I called the police on my adoptive parents the police would laugh at me and tell me I deserved it. I called probably at least a dozen times over a 4 year period and every time the police either laughed at me or took my adopted parents side. The neighbors even called the police and the police told them there wasn't anything they could do. Florida police just don't care. Of course calling the police got me hurt even more.

Yep - I’m 54 and it was the same with me too. Things now are different.

@@Grammie-hk5vb I was never rescued I prayed and begged God to help me. My abuse started when I was an infant. I was lucky I survived. I deal with the mental trauma still. I am 46 now. No one ever talks about the mental health issues that come with surviving this. I never got the help I needed to get through it. Cause once I was 16 I was able to run away from family abuse. Right into the arms of other abusers. I really try not to let my trauma define me. To me that is letting them win, I also don't tell my story people have asked before. So I tried to tell them but it really upset them. So I don't try to give details anymore. What is the point doesn't really help to relive it. At least these children will hopefully get the help they need to overcome their trauma. You have a wonderful day, and be safe.

Please use your voice for those out there who can't find theirs. Please. Everytime you help another you will grow scar tissue over your wounds. Trust me. And "listen" to your sense if smell....it warns you of rotten predators. I will be praying for you and I sincerely appreciate you sharing your pain with me. It released some of yours. 🕊🦋🌹

@@mimim8532 I appreciate it but I am not sorry it made me a strong person. I although wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. My brother and sister also went through it but neither of them came out as strong they still have issues dealing with it. They go into outbursts when or if we try and talk about what happened. Which is why I wouldn't wish it on anyone because some people can't pull themselves out of the past.

Foster parents get paid. Adoptive parents don't.

@@theoryofpersonality1420 Nope ...if the child is older and troubled or has mental or physical disabilities.. inc. behavioral issues...needs medicines etc. They get paid. People who adopt babies don't get paid. That leaves a while lotta kids.

There were 2 locked in that shed. The police found them, dirty, one with no shoes, and sores on his feet. OMG. A neighbor called,for a welfare check, and the police found two children locked up in that shed. Thank goodness, the neighbors were concerned.
