Eloheems unchanging hands and his unchanging law [Torah] remain despite Evans bowing to Rome who thinks thye have power to change his law and times (Daniel 7:25) Mat 5:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law [TORAH] or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to FULLY PREACH (Greek: pleroo) them. Mat 5:18 For truly, I say to you, until shamayim (pw heaven) and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law [TORAH]until all is accomplished. Mat 5:19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of shamayim (pw heaven), but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of shamayim. Yes His love is unconditional.. but this does not mean free reign for sin .. God is a God of love but also of JUDGEMENT !! and He is about to reveal all sin and abominations of the American church .. just watch .. there will be no more soft, ear-tickeling gospel and prosperity teaching after He finishes it all !!! The protestant "church" in America is bound to the "holy catholic church" by their very own invented Apostles creed. That is why they reject the Torah and bow to the SUNday invention and Ishtar /Easter Sunday calendar invention of Gregory with the Jesuits. True believers of the congregation under the RENWED COVENANT (Jer 31:33) obey Torah which is written upon our hearts by YAHUAH Himself. Whatever happens, let’s honor this man’s legacy. He studied the Bible countless hours in order to reach us and teach us. He raised his kids well so they would not depart from the faith. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. He who is without sin, cast the first stone. He has still contributed more to the Kingdom of God than many of us ever will. I pray for his family and pray that Dr Tony Evans gets to make peace with God and the elders of his church and gets to live out his latter years in blessings.

Read Matthew 7:3-5 and pray about this perspective you have. This mindset was very condemning, intolerant, and not biblically based. This man is the reason I started listening to the gospel. I am so glad I turned from my sinful life apart from the Lord, sought repentance and was saved. Many pastors are going to prison for pedophilia and other crimes. Judgement begins at the house of God and the time is NOW. The stupid christians that idolize they're leaders are also to blame

My Bishop did the same. Unfortunately, his sin was exposed to the congregation. Nevertheless, he went into a season of prayer and fasting. God restored him.

A sin, no matter how bad it is, shouldn’t be exposed to the congregation. The person that sinned has enough to bare already, without the congregation knowing. The only people the person is accountable to is God and the elders of the church. That’s it!!!!

I am not sure how to take this because instead of stepping down and going through the repentance process when he first committed the sin, he stayed on as pastor and is now just stepping down-why not go through the repentance process when it first happened? Why wait years later?

Perhaps he tried to block it out and was so taken back that he could do whatever it was. The fact that he is felt the conviction from God & is doing what needs to be done is all that should matter now. Not an excuse but sometimes people go through such bad times in life that you become weak & it doesn't take much for the enemy to slip in & attack. Life happened in a bad way for him, let's accept he is doing right by it now & pray for him as he would for us. It is bad enough that the leaders of the church & prophets are always subject to greater attacks by the enemy. If God can forgive us when we repent, why can't we forgive him. Jesus died for us.

Pastor Tony Evans is a man after GOD. As Christians, we know the word of GOD is constantly transforming us. As flawed humans, this means a constant review of past and present acts, thoughts, beliefs that are not of GOD. It’s hard work, but if we claim we believe or love GOD it is necessary. In a world and culture that is progressively moving away from GOD there is no unanimous understanding of this process and how painful and often humiliating it can be. But those who are teachers, pastors, etc know it must be done…no matter the cost on this side of eternity. So, as a Christian (a flawed human who knows of my need for reconciliation to GOD), is following this story for encouragement. That I too will work out my salvation even when painful and humiliating. Knowing that what I may experience on this side does not compare to what awaits me on the other side. May GOD give us (including Pastor Evans) the courage to do this difficult, ongoing, task. For His glory. Amen
