@Nemisis I've been saying the exact same words over and over. Without God there is no eternal life in Heaven, those who are alive are free. After death there is no more freedom given. Sin is why death exist, the bible even says the wages of sin is death. The majority of the population will not make it into Heaven, remember in order to be forgiven and received the Kingdom of Heaven we must have a pure heart. Demote our life to Jesus Christ and remain faithful till death.

Unfortunately I was on that subway platform that morning. I along with so many commuters witnessed when this unfortunate man fell through the grate. Somehow, he gained entrance to the tunnel and fell to the tracks. He was severely injured and disoriented when he hit the track. He was trying to get up and he fell again and was subsequently electeocuted when his arm touched the third rail. EMS was able to revive him but he died at Bellevue Hospital. I understand that this man was homeless. I work with the homeless in a shelter as a Registered Nurse. I feel so bad for this man. I'm so sorry for the family this man. Prayers up. RIP brother. 🙏 😢 🙏

There are longs strips of grate at every station that is down under. Gotta get fresh air in there somehow. Also from all the grates I've seen, it's just a literal open space to allow air flow, it doesn't lead anywhere else. If someone were want to do something to the subway, theyd just simply hop the turnstiles or just pay 2.75. lol

Your aware Schizophrenia isn’t just “insanity” right? Have you done any research at all on schizophrenia? Schizophrenia doesn’t make people insane, insane people aren’t insane just because of schizophrenia. People who are insane that have schizophrenia are just people who are severely in need of medical mental attention, that’s why some people are sent to Mental hospitals instead of Jail when they figure out the condition to some people who have caused crimes and murders. They need mental attention.

@@DragonLove225 I shiver at the word of Insane asylums. As a neurodivergent person I could of been sent to them in the early 1900s, or had a lobotomy done on me. Even if healthcare is better, which is great and solves a lot of those issues, bringing insane asylums back won’t save or solve the issue, especially for the history of them. There is mental hospitals out there. Why bring back something directly related to abuse in the 80s I guess is what I’m saying.

So sad. The thought of it is awful. I hope that he didn’t suffer. The subway platforms are a dangerous place. You have the 3rd rail & obviously fast moving subways. The 3rd rail is on the far side of the tracks & has a protective cover but are quite exposed. When subways are near you can actually hear the high voltage electricity teeming through the 3rd rail. It’s amazing to me seeing so many straphangers acting complacently while on these platforms some of which can be quite narrow in areas. Some people walk with huge bags & backpacks barreling on the platform & can easily inadvertently knock people off the platform onto the tracks. Obviously malicious acts are rare & only done by the unhinged criminals but there are many on the platform who are complacent & inadvertently move clumsily which can lead to accidents. I am still shocked that NYC hasn’t installed safety barriers & sliding doors on their subway platforms. Smaller & poorer countries have them on their subway lines. Anyway RIP to this poor man. Regardless of his station in life & despite the fact that he shouldn’t have been on the tracks, he still was a person & lost his life in an awful way.

I understand where you are coming from but the statement “ Smaller & poorer countries have them”(barriers and sliding doors) Makes no sense. Those same countries subway system is not near as old as nyc , not nearly big, doesn’t have nearly the same amount of stops and doesn’t have nearly the same amount of ridership. Upgrading an old system is very hard and to do something as big as intergrating Saftey barriers and sliding doors for any occurrence so rare would put the MTA out of business. It would take well over a decade to get every station and would be more of a detriment to nyc than a benefit. Not to mention a stations that are curved it would be impractical. The stations with the highest chance of this problem happening are the stations either the most crowding aka the most people, in order to implement that they would to close the station or close a track at least leading to more delays than there already is, leading to more crowding. Leading to more people possibly falling in the tracks. Safe to say for NYC specifically Platform barriers are not going to be the wave for while. It was not intended to be like that so all we can do is pray people don’t fall in the tracks🙏

I think the US is demented regarding electrical safety. They have plugs 🔌 which electrocute you when you accidentally touch the prongs when they are half inserted. Also, they leave bare naked high voltage rails on the ground, it may electrocute people. In Europe they insulate half of the plug prongs and/or put a plastic fence around the socket. Also, they use overhead wires or at least put an effective laminate cover over the deadly rail. I suggest US passes a law that only people with IQ higher than 50 are allowed to design national electrical code safety standards.
