A 12yr veteran quarterback, as the leader of the team, should instinctively know to spike the ball, without looking to the coaches for advice. Kaptain Kirk Killjoy will never be that guy. I’m surprised he didn’t line up under the guard again.

Leads the league in yards and tds. Stop being casual. Kirk said in his interview everytime he’s gone and made a decision by himself in situations like that, it’s bit him in the butt. Leaving casual fans like you to criticize his every decision. Spiking the ball woulda gave them one less play to get it in.

@@drakedawson3455, simp, I have forgotten more about Viking football than you will ever know. You are an ultracrepidarian, and sometime I think Kaptain Killjoy is too. Regardless of stats they are still 0-3, because he has no initiative after 12 yrs in the league, for fear he might get hollered at. With a spike they may have gotten as many as 4 shots to win the game. A real leader(A coach on the field)would have gotten everybody up on the line and spiked the ball. Then spoke with the coach. The 49ers never hold on to quarterbacks like Killjoy, even those who have taken them to Super Bowls. Killjoy should have been gone long ago.

Alohi Gilman threw a punch at Jefferson a minute into the second half and wasn't flagged. Gilman had failed to secure an interception. But instead of leaving the ball on the field, he got up and began advancing it and then was upset that Jefferson gently wrapped him up as a precaution.
