I’ve almost forgotten what a uniform coloured interior looks like. Mine brings a whole new meaning to 50 shades of grey.🤣

Always important to spend the extra money on good quality paint like SEM when doing these restorations. Worth it in the end!

SEM is my favorite. LMR products are not bad at all in my opinion. Perfect timing for this video considering it is time to bring our Foxbodies out of hibernation! 💯👊🏾

I just dyed/refreshed the entire interior for my coupe regatta blue. I had a few cans from LMR that was about 15 yrs old matched perfectly. Needed more so ordered more from LMR, no where near the original Regatta blue! Took awhile but they finally got me something close to but not exactly what they made 15 years ago!! Anyway lesson of the story, if you are going to do the entire interior make sure that you have enough to do the whole thing and do not assume that every batch of dye will be the same! I actually found a GM interior blue form the 80's to be a better match to the factory regatta blue than the stuff LMR has and it is from SEM.

So funny that you posted this now. Yesterday I bought a smoke grey console, glove box door , kick panels and 2 of the centre sections that hold the ash tray. The kid had a pile of interior parts to choose from and all time I’m thinking “ how many shades of grey did ford use in 5.0’s”. Now to order my LMR spray paint. Thanks KASL

Great episode bud. It can be a lot of work 1st time around but so worth taking your time and doing it right with good products. With everything the same color just makes the interior pop again.

Recent cans of 1982 medium red from LMR show “RED” on the label. Same with their can of interior “BLACK”

Is the gray in your interior the 15393? Interior looks so good!

I used 15713 - SEM Ladera

My 90 7 up convertible needs interior paint badly. So does the black exterior trim. Does SEM make a OEM interior white? Or am I better off using the LMR white?
@KASLCustoms6 ай бұрын
From what I understand, LMR and SEM are pretty much undistinguishable

Love the video man, I got a quick question, what is the best fluid to put into my t5? it’s a 89, I’m hearing a lot of things not quite sure what to go with
@KASLCustoms2 жыл бұрын
Thx pal! As for the fluid question, this is a hot topic that 99% of people have an opinion on. A good buddy of mine is a transmission guy. He also rebuilt the T-5 for me in my coupe. He recommends a good quality none synthetic ATF in the T-5’s. I’ve ran 5W30 in them before as well with no issues but since my buddy’s recommendation, I’m running ATF 👍
@gurkarandeol85712 жыл бұрын
@@KASLCustoms thanks man! Do you think the royal purple scyhcromaxx would be a good option?
@KASLCustoms2 жыл бұрын
I’ve heard of people running that as well however by transmission buddy still recommends down and dirty ATF

How about using the SEM trim black on the cowl vent grille? Thanks.
@KASLCustoms2 жыл бұрын
Yup - you can 100% paint the cowl grill with it too. All of the outside black on your car 👌

OK, l know you can't diagnose a problem over the internet, but perhaps you can guide me in the right direction. My '91 convertible has a power window issue with the passenger side window. It works fine with the left door switch but not at all with the right door switch. OK, so I thought just get a new switch. That wasn't it. Pulled the door panel off to look around. The harness doesn't look damaged but in behind where the speaker sits is a two wire connector with a green wire and a white with green stripe wire that isn't plugged into anything and there's nothing within reach of the connector to plug it into. I don't know if that has any thing to do with the problem or not. I'm the original owner of the car so I know the harness has never been cut into or hacked up. None of the forums have been any help. I was just wondering if this is a problem you have run across before. If I can't figure it out, I'll just take it to a shop that works on things like this.Thank you very much for any suggestions. Bill Macomber
@KASLCustoms2 жыл бұрын
Hey Bill! I’ve been there before buddy and I think I can help. I’d be willing to put money on the fact that the harness that plugs into the passenger door window switch is corroded and or the copper connectors from the harness have become loose. Take yourself some electrical contact cleaner and clean the plug really good. Then take a little round file or a Q-tip with sand paper on it and scuff up the inside of the copper connectors on the plug real good. Then plug it in and give it a test. You can also get into the plug with a little pick and bend the copper connectors in to have a better “Bite” on the switch. If it works, Then get some dialectic grease and lube up the connection prior to plugging it back in, grab a cold pop and celebrate a job well done 😉🍻👊

@@KASLCustoms Wow, that was quick. I'll give it a try. I put my meter into the harness plug with the key on and found no power anywhere. I'm thinking of just going straight to the barley pop and work on it tomorrow. Thank you so much for the advice. Bill
@KASLCustoms2 жыл бұрын
Lol atta boy! These Foxbody power windows are hard to chase power issues because they use reverse polarity. The best thing to use is a power probe if you have one 👍. Enjoy the barley sandwich buddy and keep me posted 👊👊🍻
@1991pony2 жыл бұрын
@@KASLCustoms Hi Gary. It is Gary, right? Anyway, I put the barley pop off a little while and tried your suggestions. Nothing. So, one question. Is the center post on the back of switch where the power comes into the switch? If so, I can trace it back into the harness and run a jumper wire if I have to. Thanks again. Bill
@KASLCustoms2 жыл бұрын
Yessir - it’s Gary. Shoot buddy, I can’t remember where the power comes into the switch…?
