Beautiful words Chief. AFL has always had better characters than any other code. The way our legends give back to our beautiful game is fundamentally important to the next generation. Danny was one of those legends. RIP

Jason , Spud would of been proud of ya mate certainly kicked a goal with that speech, brilliant. I respected you as a player Jason Dunstall even though ya played for the Hawks but I respect ya even more now mate. What a great man you are.

Suicide . Depression . Never thought it would take spud.
@rahulbhatia77984 жыл бұрын
Do you think it was suicide? I'm sure he was depressed but he just lost control of his car maybe because he fell asleep at the wheel.

@@rahulbhatia7798 Oh yeah. Absolutely . Pretty sure its confirmed but no one is saying it outright. If you look at the crash site its a straight road and car is mauled. He'd have been going 150 I reckon and no seatbelt.
@rahulbhatia77984 жыл бұрын
@@twomindz79 yes I saw the photo of the crash I was guessing it more like a 100km/ph than 150 but who knows. Also the police never said it was suicide or anything like that. So what do you reckon?

@@rahulbhatia7798 every story on the news shows a lifeline number after the story . Garry Lyon said on the radio something like ' id ask him are you doing ok and he'll shrug his shoulders and not talk about it ." . Few years ago I drove 100 into a tree and broke my sternum ( which fuckin hurt ) .

Wow. So touching. I'm not embarrassed to say I'm shedding a man tear. First time in a very long time.

Wonderful to see Jonathan Brown at 2:37. He and Spud worked a lot of footy matches together on Fox Footy, especially the Bulldogs' first home-and-away match at Ballarat.

Saw both of these legends talk at an event at a local pub of mine, just sad thinking about it now. 1 year on.

Beautiful speech Chief. Both you and Spud working together had the same kind of magic like the Top Gear boys, and you both have brought so much joy to so many people. God bless.
