Aid to Israel is not in the order of hundreds of billions of dollars as in Ukraine's case. Plus war in Gaza will end soon while pouring billions of dollars into Ukraine could make this an endless war costing a trillion dollars or more.

Lets look past the US' role in the war in Ukraine to begin with and get to the core: The US spending and military presence abroad is about American influence and power and has nothing to do with helping Europe or anyone else. This is kindergarden knowledge, and anyone thinking otherwise is beyond naive. The US is not "helping" Europe against Russia. You could easily argue that this, in part at least, is actually the US' mess. And since many European countries sent their soldiers to die in the US' wars the last 20 years, then these vote fishing statements are very disrespectful if not disgusting. If America wants to isolate itself then that's completely up to the Americans, but in that case China, Russia, India and others will take over the influence and power the US previously had in the world

Russia has no ethnic russianns in Romania, Hungary, Poland etc. and no interest to invade, for example, some random country such as Slovakia. Ukraine is DIFFERENT story and the conflict in Ukraine that started in 2014. has different roots. I am AGAINST aggressions of all kinds whether those are Nato aggressions on Iraq, Serbia, Syria, Yemen... or Russia aggression on Ukraine but Ukraine indeed is complex conflict and has to be resolved at peace conference. 2. Russia (which would that time probably be aligned with Iran, N. Korea, Yemen, Palestine, China over Taiwan etc.) war against Nato would probably end in nuclear catastrophe. Do not believe idiotic stories of Russia invading half of Europe. Elect mr Trump and end suffering of ethnic russians and ethnic ukrainians in Donbas/Ukraine. Elect Trump and end suffering of palestinian civilians in Gaza.

From my understanding I think he was talking about U.S' distance from Ukraine and Europe at that point not the distance between Russia and the U.S. Unless the American supply going to Ukraine and europe can be sent through Russia's land transport, yeah there is an ocean between them.

He cannot be specific at this stage, but only if elected will he know how much and which strategy he would be allowed to use that the US MIC, and all US 3 letter agencies would approve of...(he never started 1 tiny war during his presidency, i.e. made no profits for them and that's why he wasn't allowed a 2nd term). Now that they've made SOME money off Biden with Ukraine, Yemen, Haiti & Sudan, Trump may be allowed to end at least the one in Ukraine). That's what you missed - each POTUS must ensure profit for US MIC or he's out. Obama made a FORTUNE for them, having stared 7 wars in his 8 years!!!! It all comes out the same way. We are 34 Trillion in debt, we have to print money to pay Raytheon to replace what is being sent to Ukraine. That printed money could’ve been used for something else. The funds used to replace equipment sent to Ukraine doesn’t come out of the annual defense budget, it’s in addition to it.

Trump made an appearance at a restaurant my girlfriend used to work at. He made a quick speech and charged everyone up. He told everyone to order what they want, it was on him. 10 minutes later he left the restaurant with the tab. The owner was FURIOUS. It was on the news. The restaurant is called Versailles in Miami. While a majority of NATO members do not meet the alliance’s target of each member spending a minimum of 2% of gross domestic product on defense, the 2% target is a “guideline” that does not create bills, debts or legal obligations if it is not met. In fact, the guideline doesn’t require payments to NATO or the US at all. Rather, it simply requires each country to spend on their own defense programs which every does.

I don't think his numbers of aid are correct at all. My understanding is aid is roughly equal between Europe and the US at this point. Most of what the US is giving is old military equipment (cluster shells, Bradleys) that are due to be destroyed/replaced. Europe is giving more cash.

When you add up the military+humanitarian+money aid given to Ukraine, EU and all the countries together excedes the US aid. While USA has given the most military aid, Eu has given more in money. But like Nuland said recently, all the aid money goes to USA military contractors.

This is how I see things happening. The USA and some other countries give billions in aid to Ukraine. In turn Ukraine buy weapons off of military companies predominantly in the USA but a few other countries too. So aid money is going back into the states. Now this war with its stalemate is going to go on for years. And as Russia has moved away from the petrodollar I can see Russia getting much stronger. This war has to stop like the Israeli one. But without wars, the military companies don’t make much money.

It comes from the keil Institute for the world economy which tracks ukraine aid. It rates countries based on data transparency and ranks usa data as 2.9/5. This means the data is likely inaccurate as they're not getting all the information. According to CSIS, the funding directed toward the ukraine war effort was $113 billion in September 2023.

Alternatively it is old kit that would be scrapped in a few years, but for the purpose of these figures, is given its full new retail price. Considering that Ukraine have spent 100,000 lives and the war is essential to the West and our convenience, it is a bargain! We should thank them for using it as we hand over the kit.

The issue is democrats still want to import 500k people every year. Republicans do not want that. Border needs to be sealed and shut. Legal immigration needs to be stopped full stop for 2 decades if not more. You use that time to revamp the asylum laws (banning it outright), immediate deportation laws with no appeals, put in a law that forces President to shut the border down if there is any illegal migration of more than 100 people getting apprehended a day then the President has to close the border (Air and Land). Take all the flexibility away that the current laws give to President and make it so they have to act. Also why should republicans give Democrats any sort of victory? They wasted 4 years of Trump by going after Russia hoax and now want to pass laws when Trump was willing to do a deal. I do not like Trump and I do not like Biden as both sides have run this country into the ground. But lets be realistic, politics triumps everything in this country at least thats what we have come to.

What shocked me most, I'm no longer shocked by Trump's lies and people not bothering to even check the Internet to see if they correct, is that she corrected him once and he then repeated the lie. She should have stopped him and said. No this is false, Europe had already given more than the US and is about to give 60 billion more. While the US MAGA nut jobs are costing lives in Ukraine and the future of an alliance with Europe.

@@Zeetana1 putin started the agression and he will continue in various parts of europe, if not beeing stopped. There are some aspects involving the us (budapest memorandum and generelly the western security architecture), but all of this was started by russia a long time ago. Why do you defend Putin? Nope, looks like we are already using Ukraine to fight Russia. Ukraine already lost 500,000 soldiers, economy shrink by 50%, sustained $2TRILLION damage to infras, 12 MILLION left the country. What more damage do we want Ukraine to endure. Is it not time to negotiate peace rather than push ukraine ro fight?
