Trump is no longer president. He is now a former president and presidential candidate. His detail is a lot smaller than that of what he, Biden, Bush II, and Obama has/had. Also, Secret Service and auxiliary support services don't work for free. So there is a cost that comes for every person and piece of equipment that that's utilized, and that budget is prioritized for the standing president. If there is no legit justification to bring out equipment, or manning staff, it's not approved for use.

Kaylee who decides what part is the perimeter? Why didn't the secret service inlude yhat area in their perimeter?? Why didn't the secret service have a spotter on the highest point (the water tower) in order to watch for danger?? Why didnt the secret service get Trump down when they knew there was a threat on that roof? There was time while the counter snipers had the threat in sight before the shots rang out to get Trump down. There were many Secret Service failures that I can see.

I know it's easy to judge in hindsight and I am just a regular person, but I find it hard to understand why the Secret Service would rely on local law enforcement to secure a structure that is less than 200 yards away from their protectee. This seems like a major flaw in their protocol. Nothing against local law enforcement, but they are not on the same level as the Secret Service (should be), and they are not specialists for this kind of scenario.
