I am a fifth generation Californian and Ronnie reminds me a lot of my dad, who is also an executive with charm, character, a sense of humor -- and a love of horses. I adore Ronnie. And volunteer at his library... Ronald Reagan would agree that DeSantis is on a par with him -- and at a younger age. By the time Ron D. is Ronnie's age... he will be as beloved. And more accomplished. We don't have hurricanes in California. We do have fires. But Reagan did not have to deal with significant natural disasters as DeSantis has. DeSantis is dealing with considerably more complex issues. Remember, we had a worldwide pandemic during DeSantis' first term. And DeSantis handled that crisis better than any governor in the country. Further, DeSantis has had to navigate advances is technology, issues related to cyber security, the normalization of child mutilation under the guise of "gender reassignment," etc. The 1980s were a MUCH simpler time. Ronnie would say so, himself. President Reagan would LOVE DeSantis, everything about him. I only wish Ronnie were still alive to mentor Ron. But I wouldn't be at all surprised if he is mentoring him from heaven.
