I have another technique question: please discuss the rock step in swing, rumba , cha cha and night club two step. Describe the movement of the heel and the knee during the rock step

Feet first. You can put the whole foot down including the heal to rock step. Ball of the foot first and then heal one at a time. Not a flat foot. You can also just use the ball of the foot and leave the heal up to get a different hip action and leave more weight forward which could make the speed of the dance easier to manage. Also club two step you never put the heal down. Knees change as each foot takes its step. Simplest is bend the knee of the free foot first. Take the step and switch the knees so the now free foot has the knee bent. Same in all dances. For sure for the rhythm ones. We don’t have experience with the club 2 step.
