Meaning of the song: The protagonist feels weighed down by the sins of his father and the pain of his mother. He knows that fire can refine even the purest of things, but it also brings pain. He wants the sky to rain down water to help him grow and change, just like how the seed needs water to grow into a plant. The protagonist wants the thunder and lightning to fill up the clouds so they can make it rain and make a change in his life (copied from internet).

Seems to me its about asking the Lord to make it rain to wash away this wicked World ... maybe like the story of The Flood in the Bible or the message of Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun". Everything about this song is quality ...
