to be fair, i think you should save the wildcard. you have maybe the best 6 attackers/midfielders for gw 29. and when you look at the defenders, i dont think they will cause any big swings. you would be luckey to get a return on a defender for that gameweek. or what do you think?

I rarely comment but just wanted to say I found your WC shout inspired and I activated it. Perfect for my team and I don’t regret it at all. The way I see it it’s basically two free hits in a row for 2 tricky GWs, and pretty easy route to an optimal team later. Currently just stuck on GKs, really leaning into Kaminski+Kelleher. Points are few and far between there anyway so I think I may just spend the 1m elsewhere… I’m currently on my highest ever rank of top 8k, hopefully the good streak continues. Cheers and good luck.

Super helpful to listen to your thoughts about WC and FH. I am in a similar situation, it helps! No need to apologize for the hesitation, plenty of us are in a same situation! PS: I am going for hits and not using any chips until GW31. Good luck!

I WCd in 26, partly due to this great logic from Andy. You could take hits now in order to save the wildcard for later, or you could wildcard now and sort out everything, if you have to take the same hits later on you’re no worse off, but you may not need to use any hits and therefore save 12 points

I'm saving my TC i reckon - Hoiljund 37 looks like the best bet rn - but i would not be surprised if i regret it, just feel like Solanke is too risky now. Plus United may need the last 2 game weeks for UCL. Plus the 2nd game is Sheff United

Hi Ross, lots of effort clearly gone into this video as you clearly are torn between 2 paths. The question you need to answer is this. In the long term, will your WC/FH be worth more than the 12 point hit? Factor in the unknowns - international break, injuries, cup games? Deeply consider this and you'll have your answer. I love this part of the season. Copy cats get roasted and real managers will rise like an eagle.

wow, i have mapped out my transfers for the rest of the season (famous last words...) and if it all goes accordingly - and if the predicted doubles come through as you outline them - i will have 12 players doubling for my bench boost...

I think you'd regret using the WC this early. Points are pain but you know you can Wildcard out in a few GWs.

I had plans to TC Solanke, but this worries me a bit. Thing is that I used BB on GW25 when people TC'd Haaland. So I basically have no worries about BB and can go all in on my first team for the rest of the season, barring rotation and injuries. But TC Solanke... oh man, it's a tight call. It's still on for me and I will surely think about tomorrow prior to DL. I think I will keep it on as the fixtures are just so great for him and there are no superb opportunities guaranteed later on when it comes to DGW players. Salah in GW31 is an opportunity, but the fixtures around that specific gameweek and Salah's recent injury worries... I doubt it. 90% sure I'm going with Solanke, but it's not the end of the world to take it off because there's still 11 gameweeks to play and top teams have their runs on. It's just harder to spot the opportunity. My plans of FH36 and WC37 still stand though at this moment.

With WC31, FH34 you can get a full team of doublers in 34, and you get a full team of Liverpool, City and Arsenal from 31 and till the end of the season. That's what matters most to me, so I'm taking 3 hits in the next two weeks and fielding 10 in 29. GW29 is very weak and the potential downside of a red arrow that week is far smaller than the potential upside of FH34. Great content, keep it up!

It all depends on the team you have. I have only 2 players and there is no way im going -12 or -16 to field 8 players that i dont want long term. So FH29 is the best option for MY team.

@@jackjackdom Definitely! I think if you have 5+ players that play in 29 hits is optimal. I'd consider it at 4 also I think. Especially since Tottenham players have a good fixture in 30 also.

Depends on how the FA Cup goes. If it goes as expected, and only Newcastle, ManU, Sheffield, and Palace double I am sure my FH29 would gain me more points than the FH34. I can have all the important players for GW34 with transfers, won't even need hits. But I only have 6 players for GW29, without hits. I am actually disappointed at the potential of GW34 atm. Very unfortunate that it will only be clear in GW 30 what the right choice was.

@@janvisser4132 Assuming those teams do double, I don't want to build my team with players that double when wildcarding in 31. So it will allow to focus on the fixtures around and bench boost in 37 more easily, and use free transfers to follow in-form players in 32-33 and 35-36. But either strategy could go terribly based off of information we don't have yet haha. I just don't believe 29 will be that great, and the terrible Man City fixtures makes it easy to get away without them the next three.

Use your wild card!! I am going to use mine 100% ! Because the wild card will help get through GW29, where i will take a hit for solanke to Toney for -4, and have 11 players! Going forward, i will save my transfers with an aim of bringing back Salah or Halaand interchangeably on who has a better fixture!

I would definitely take the hit over playing wildcard now. Just feels like there's a lot more upside later down the line. I also say that because I've done the exact same thing. Took a risk on Monday because I needed to avoid price changes. Burn - doughty Foden - bowen Haaland to morris - 8 14m in the bank to bring in salah GW30 then WC31 the plan

Stick to the plan. WC GW31 works well. You’ll easily navigate BGW/DGW 34 and target 37 for the BB.

I'm saving my wc for gw31 because I think it's really the best option, and I can really push for the end of the season with a really nice team (I have the same number of gw29 players as you). I also can't use it because I'm gonna use tc. If I had your team, I would definitely wait with the chips and take the -12 hit for the next 2 gw's, which I will. I hope you end up with the best strategy for you and a one you're happy with! Btw I don't really understand people's hate towards you. If you change your mind about something like normal people usually do, that means they can come in the comments and say ''YOU LIED!" or something like that, as if they never change their minds in this game or life in general :D.

What RECENT data/info supports Solanke as an obvious captain option this gameweek? My prediction is that he will blank in both games. Solanke is overrated. If I had Morris or even Muniz I wouldn’t hesitate benching Solanke this gameweek.

No Solanke for me. 7 good players for GW29. Bringing in triple Luton this week (-4) and possibly Maddison next week to field 11 and save the FH. Bringing in Solanke would mean another hit next week and likely means I'd have to remove both Saka and Foden.

Why do you need 11 players? That's what I don't understand. People take hits and terrible players that will bring 0-3pts in GW29 to get 11 players. It makes no sense. I'm totally fine with 7-8 players, won't destroy my team and I will get around the same amount of points than most players. Few will have 10-20 more points than me. Those will have to use FH and I will beat them in GW34 FH by 30-50pts easily. Getting 11 players is honestly quite silly, since no one will get major points in GW29.
