Welcome to another FPL video as I reveal the best Wildcard Team for Gameweek 30.
I analyse the top FPL options to build the optimal Wildcard squad for GW30 with some promising differentials to help you climb the ranks.
Even if you're not using the Wildcard chip, I summarise all the transfer tips you need in order to make the best possible moves with your normal teams as well.
Which teams are likely to double in Gameweek 34? How can we navigate the remainder of the season with just the Wildcard?

finally a Wildcard video with updated info on players and teams. I have activated my wildcard as my team in GW29 ruined my whole team by taking that -8, it was on its last legs and a strong refresh was needed.

I have the same 13 on my wildcard except Bradley is Robinson and solanke is Darwin, worried about Gomez taking minutes of bradley

My WC30 team: Kelleher, Dubravka Gomez, Saliba, Gabriel, Ait Nouri, Branthwaite Son, Palmer, Foden, Salah, Saka Haaland, Isak, Muniz Unsure about the defence and I have .2 in the bank! Locked in Gabriel, Saliba and Ait Nouri but I’m afraid that if gomez and kelleher don’t start once everyone is back then I’m in trouble

Wildcard in 30 Pickford Kelleher Porro Gusto Branthwaite Schar White Palmer Son Salah Saka Luis Diaz Watkins Solanke and Jackson. In GW 33 sell Son Porro and Watkins. Buy Toney defender City and Foden. In GW35 sell Salah Diaz and Toney or Solanke. Buy Haaland Gordon and Fernandes or Rashford. In GW37 buy Son for Saka and def Spurs for Gusto. In 38 buy Arsenal midfielder. This is my strategy. This team look more better than your WC.

Thanks Dylan for sharing. I have the same five defenders and Petrovic in my WC30, though I plan to bring back Haaland/Foden after week 30. Am going for Darwin over Solanke for long-term (plan to FH34/BB37). Apart from Muniz/Darwin, which forward do u think is best just for week30? (Watkins/Toney/Solanke/someone else)

Watkins is the best for Gameweek 30 specifically but in order to avoid booking in transfers, Solanke is my recommendation. He is cheaper, has better fixtures and is likely to double in Gameweek 34. However, if you plan to use the Free Hit then it would reduce the Double Gameweek’s significance when building your Wildcard Team.

Very nice video mate, was solanke vs Darwin a close call, why did u go for Solanke over Darwin?

Thank you, I prefer Solanke because he is even more likely to double in Gameweek 34 than Darwin, although it’s possible for both to happen as discussed in the video. Solanke is also more of a talismanic figure, takes penalties and isn’t as frustrating or inconsistent as Darwin.

Agreed, Darwin can give high blood pressure, such a chance magnet but misses a lot

My team value's over £108m so I can afford quite a few more premium picks. Got exact money for: Petrovic, Kelleher; Gusto, Gabriel, Van Dijk, Schar, Udogie; Salah, Saka, Son, Palmer, Foden; Haaland, Isak, Muniz. Would eventually downgrade Van Dijk to upgrade Kelleher and Muniz ahead of 37.

Nice team. I fancy being daring and go Haaland free for the last leg of the season. Hojlund was outscoring him before his injury - I'll see how he does for Denmark over the weekend. I'm 125k and want to be a bit adventurous to get into the top 100k. Man City have tougher champions league opposition over the next few weeks so Erling may be rested. (As I type it's on Sky News that Erling has limped out of Norway's training session).

You raise an interesting point, there’s certainly a case for going without Haaland and I would rather go for Salah right now if I had to pick between them. I don’t think much of Haaland’s injury, he will almost certainly start in Gameweek 30.

Thoughts on Chilwell as a punt on wildcard over gusto?

I don’t trust Chilwell to start games consistently or stay fit. Gusto is significantly cheaper and offers much better value. The only concern would be Reece James who would start the odd game over him.

What about starting Saka instead of Foden? Also I still have my FH left, so my team should be favouring DGW37 instead of 34, right?

That's a good shout, I prefer Foden in Gameweek 30 though. The optimal chip strategy depends on when the doubles will land but my current preference is to Free Hit in Gameweek 34 and Bench Boost in Gameweek 37. If you have already used the Bench Boost then you can be more flexible with the Free Hit and use it in either Gameweek.

@dev73275 that’s a fair question, once the fixtures are confirmed we can deal in absolutes. We could even get clarification by the end of this week which would be massively helpful for Gameweek 30 Wildcards. With my Wildcard Team, a Free Hit in Gameweek 37 might be better suited. As good as Muniz is, he is likely to face Manchester City at home as a single Gameweek fixture in 37 which isn’t ideal for a Bench Boost.

Is Semenyo a viable option instead of Solanke and enabling another 2.7k to spend?

Semenyo is a decent budget option but I wouldn’t go for him and Muniz simultaneously. It’s one or the other in my opinion and I prefer Muniz. I also think Solanke is worth the extra millions.

My Wildcard team for GW30: Kelleher vs Brighton ( H ) Konsa vs Wolves ( H ) Burn vs West Ham ( H ) Robinson vs Sheffield United ( A ) Palmer vs Burnley ( H ) Salah ( VC ) vs Brighton ( H ) Maddison vs Luton ( H ) Saka vs Man City ( A ) Son ( C ) vs Luton ( H ) Muniz vs Sheffield United ( A ) Haaland vs Arsenal ( H ) Bench: Flekken vs Man Utd ( H ), Saliba vs Man City ( A ) , Van Hecke vs Liverpool ( A ) Osula vs Fulham ( H ) Would you guys take out Maddison to free up some space and spend it somewhere else in the squad? I don't know what I should do with him.

That’s a solid Wildcard but I’m wondering who your other goalkeeper, forward and remaining defenders are. You could downgrade Maddison to Gordon and use those funds to bolster one of these positions, particularly if it’s an outfield player.

Disaster. Sure I had played my FH in GW 29, I have no idea how but my FH became my Wild Card so now I am stuck with an awful side, lost my Wild Card and built-up player value in top performers. Not sure what to do...should I take up to a -40 and get to where I would have been but with less value (can't get back to Haaland), hope for a massive FH week with doubles or just quit! I had a real chance of making 100k this year...

I wouldn’t take a -40 hit, especially in a single Gameweek. You may need to take occasional hits and spread them out across multiple Gameweeks but the situation remains salvageable.

The first plan is my current preference but it all depends on when the specific Double Gameweek fixtures land.

@chandrachurmukherjee4631 it can certainly work, Gameweek 38 tends to have the most goals across the entire season.

Yeah, I always look to improve upon my previous season’s rank but top 50k is a great finish nowadays.

What about Havertz instead of Saka?

Havertz has been in great form but Saka is far more consistent, especially in terms of producing goals and assists. He’s also the main penalty taker and his underlying numbers are very sustainable.

Foden will be rotated around the CL matches with Real Madrid

Foden might get a rest at some point but there is no margin for error in the title race. He has been Man City's best player after Rodri and I think he will start the vast majority of Premier League games.

I mentioned Kelleher as a potential option, Alisson's injury is unknown but once he's available he comes straight back into the team. Newcastle have good fixtures but I just don't trust them defensively, he's arguably a better option than Areola though.
