I have a transfer and was going to roll it and then planning for GW37 was going to take out Bradley for a Chelsea player. Have 7 on doubles this week and should have 10 by GW37. Trying to maximise both weeks 😅

Oscar... Because of your use of xP throughout your videos I think another comparison metric, 'Actual Points' (aP) should be used in your follow up. Just to verify the accuracy of its use. xP does act as a convincing stat on 'who is best to buy' but there needs to be a balanced argument (ie aP) for analysis asking 'were they the best to buy?' That way your thousands of followers can make more informed decisions. Whaddya think?

that stat already exists it's called "points" and you can evaluate the xP methodology of different sources yourself. as it stands, a delta between them is interpreted as representing over/underperformance of the players rather than reflective of the model itself. i think if you're expecting oscar to present a robust analysis/criticism of the statistical methodology behind xP then you're asking too much.

Not a bad idea! There’s lots of models out there and my view is review is the best, there was the blog post on their site I linked before which showed a comparison of how they all fared and review came out on top. Obviously football has massive variation so it’ll never be bang on accurate, is basically an extension of extended data and fixture difficulty ratings to gauge which players are expected to do well. That all said I definitely can’t commit the time to measuring the delta of every player. The fact that so many top all time managers use review says a lot for its credibility too imo

Cheers Oscar, this is very useful. I’ve got 2FT at the moment with .5 in the bank. My thinking is Son to Havertz, Diaz or Eze and possibly Muniz to Cunha or Mateta (although I might roll this). I’m leaning Havertz overall. Lineup looking like: Dubravka Virgil, Burn, Gabriel Havertz, Saka, Salah, Garnacho, Palmer Haaland, Solanke Leno, Muniz, Gusto and Udogie on the bench.
