This guy should be an internet sensation. Beautiful tone in his hands and amazing phrasing, great chops. Mature production. Fantastic. On a side note, dude do a iridium vs axe fm3 please. I ordered a fm3 but after seeing iridium planning to reconsider the order.

Fractal absolutely

Some are sounding darker, some brighter. Form me, in front is the Iridium and the FM3.

This is really tough. Here we go. FM3, Iridium (extremely tough call to pick my favorite), Stomp and Headrush (tie), Ampero, Kemper. All are fantastic and very subjective. I am surprised I voted Kemper last, however.

Really impressed with the Hotone. Wasn't expecting that.

FM3/Iridium/Headrush were my favorites, felt that the Iridium had the most "character"

I liked the edge of the Iridium in this clip-- not saying the others couldn't have been set up with something similar..... Everything else sounded similar to me.

All of them sounded great to me.

This is great. All of those sound really good actually. I love the tone on the Iridium and Headrush in particular. I'd really love to hear the tone you can make and your take on the Humboldt Simplifier as well at some point.

Iridium and the Headrush are my favorites in this video. The ambience/delay in the Headrush is especially good to me. The Iridium sound has a hairy bite to it... I kind of like that too. ("Hairy bite, you mean like a Kiwi?") LOL

The phrasing is insane, reminds me of Peter Wichers and Andy James.

Hey Mister Cordy, hope you're doing well ! Great great video, very informative actually and I liked the fact that you didn't try to make these units to sound EXACTLY the same. Awesome f°°°ing phrasing and feeling as always, you blow me away !! Thanks to N Hoekstra below, I could compare many different times without scrolling into the video's timeline...listening to each unit for like 10 sec, etc...I really liked the Iridium here. I liked the HX and FM3 too. The Gigboard is kind of a confused feeling, there was something I LOVED about the sound big time, not sure how to describe it but I heard you singing more through this one, quite interesting. In the other hand (and maybe because it had more reverb/delay or EQ or level ?), I found it to be a bit less "present" than the Iridium HX & FM3. I didn't like the Ampero (you would have made this vid' a blind test, I guess the only unit I would have found right is the Ampero aha), and didn't really like the Kemper as well. But all that is purely subjective and you sounded absolutely great through all of these ! Thanks for this very well done comparison, hope you'll do more like this ! Cheers :)

Plz. help me decide- FM3 or Ampero II (costs half as much.) Ampero II is a nice form factor and easy to use but likely lacks the same I/O for pedals, switches, etc. Which sounds better and have more effects? What are the pro's and con's. If money was not really a big concern is FM3 a no brainer- or not so fast? I have money, but don't need to waste it. Might sell either once the Ampero III comes out as it should have more DSP- or a FM3 or FM6 with a touchscreen and more DSP! If I got a cheaper Ampero- $400 new on Amazon, it could technically hold me over until something really cool releases later this year as I anticipate. Thanks!

Just goes to show you dont have to spend alot (Strymon) to have top tone. All sounded good, but unique, a good thing.

The Ampero was the best.

Hotone is very good for it's price but other ones are better. But at the same time, there is no single leader, all are great.

Iridium sounded the best; Kemper the worst, very thin sounding.
