Great idea! That would work with any cylindrical things that size! Cork, wood, plastic, etc. The possibilities are endless…🤔👍🏾

It definitely took me a time to get the nerve to start. I kept visualizing myself hitting my hand. Hasn’t happened yet knock on wood. But it’s a blast!

1st time i tried a frameless shot i blasted my finger and i knew it was inevitable but i believe that was the universe teaching me RIGHT AWAY to respect the bands, pay attention, and start off with light solid ⅜ plastic balls and even those "beginner balls" got some bite and matched with nice light bands and a perfectly sized light pouch turns them arts n craft plastic pearls into deadly high velocity stingers.. once i start i nerd out heavy. Must've made 30 band sets and cut my own double layered laminated pouches 😜 just like building engines, with the right combination of perfect matches parts even 4-cylinders can make over 1000whp on the street... Dont need heavy bands and ½inch steel to ruin someones day... Even your own if your not careful

do I just add the width of my palm to my active band length if I want to try out frameless?

Typically I will add 4 inches to my active band length and start there. Most of the time that works fine.

Cool! But Is not legal in competitions. In fremeless comoetitions it's possible use only the elastic and the pouch. No rings or other things for semplify the shoot 😮

You will definitely have to do it right. It doesn’t really increase your chances if you do it properly. I’ve been shooting frameless for a little while and have yet to have an accident. However I know people that have. So the chances of something happening is possible but I don’t know that it increases with frameless. My suggestion would be to do your research thoroughly first and to shoot clay rounds until you are comfortable. Hope this helps! Thanks for the comment and question!

Yeah it was and still is a challenge for me. It’s not something that I’m going to just drop the frame and go to but every once in a while it’s a little fun. But I totally understand.
