Fran Drescher on ‘VC Andrews: Dawn,’ 30 years since ‘The Nanny’

Thirty years after Fran Drescher starred in “The Nanny,” she is back on the small screen with the Lifetime limited series “VC Andrews: Dawn” - and she puts on a southern accent for the first time for the role! Dear Fran is aware that people like her are poster people that have a responsibility to keep the people that support them and allow them to do what they do, working. Keeping people at work. And I love seeing her being a business woman on top of a fabulous actress and person.

I LOVE Fran, but Dawn is not a continuation of FITA. It's a completely different series. Dawn was "kidnapped" by the help and rasied poor, when the reality she knows and grew up with is far from the truth of what her actual life.

Fran's description of what Dawn is nothing to do with Flowers in the Attic. She may need to brush up on her Virginia Andrews novels!

@@SuperMarioBrosIII have you read the books yet? There are a total of 5 books, it begins with Garden Of Shadows, followed by Flowers In The Attic and ends with Seeds Of Yesterday. After that it's just different stories of different families. For example Ruby which is one of my favourites VC Andrews.

@@MsEnglishtea Yes, I am aware of the books I haven't read all 5. Not to mention the 1987 movie Flowers In thr Attic and the later remake Lifetime movie in 2014 which lead to two more films Pedals In the Wind and Seeds Of Yesterday 2015 with actress Heather Graham. The tv movies went further with the insest part. The Grandmother albeit still mean seemed a bit soft in the tv movie version. 🏠🌻🚪📕

@@SuperMarioBrosIII well, then watch them or read them if you're curious😄 Although I prefer reading them but that's just me. Nothing against the film adaptation and the series. I did like the 1987 film but that ending🤦‍♀️ was way off. The lifetime series of Flowers In The Attic Origin is good too, it's like a dark twisted Downton Abbey. I don't know why I am fascinated by these stories, they are absolutely cruel but it was the first books I've read from my aunts library when I moved to the States.
