I thought this when I first heard the chords and then he sings that line, I'm glad to hear it was a well meant jab. I recognized the chords because I had used them myself on a much more forgettable and worse song. All I was left with was a mental template that locked in when I heard Oasis and then Travis do it. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a9aZl9KcxtG5ZH0.html is a conclusion that you come to when you play in a cover or Blues Band. I'll give you a £1 for every singer/songwriter who doesn't know what key they are playing in....and i'll be a very rich dude.

Haha not if you're giving the quids away mate...you'll be very poor actually.You are right though it's of little importance if you're a dedicated songwriter..what sounds and feels right will come with the right amount of time and effort no matter what theory you do or dont know.
