French President Emmanuel Macron casted his vote in Le Touquet in the second round of a snap legislative election. Earlier, French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal also casted his vote in Paris suburb. Second round of the parliamentary elections is underway in France. French President Emmanuel Macron called snap parliamentary elections after Marine Le Pen's far-right party won a huge victory in the vote for the European elections on 9 June. Voter turnout in France's parliamentary run-off election on Sunday rose sharply from the last time in 2022 in a ballot that could see the far-right National Rally (RN) emerge as the strongest force.
