(If your comment is aimed at the original comment and not the first response to that) When we experiment with complex systems we can create unintended consequences. That does not prove that this hailstorm is a direct result of this, but there is nothing wrong with questions being raised. Especially when cloud seeding is taking place across multiple nations now and being used for hydroelectricity [Snowy Hydro, Australia, for example] and to create more rain in places like the Philippines. Although cloud seeding [weather modification/geoengineering] has been experimented with since the 1940s, it still produces mixed results. A little too early for many on here to claim that it cannot cause negative outcomes as well as positive ones; there is nearly always a trade-off in science. Unfortunately, science (albeit, the scientists) is not so forthcoming with the negative results it often produces as it is with positive ones it tends to, conveniently, overtly publicise by comparison. Especially when funded to look for those particular results. It is quite arrogant of many to mock people who are genuinely concerned about nature being played with. Especially when they do not know the full outcomes of this science themselves, as the very experts in this field are still experimenting and collecting data (with mixed results). Many other scientists hold the same concerns and reservations. Added to the above layers are the many global organisations using climate change to remove freedoms, enforce extra charges, increase their power and introduce tech 'solutions' to a problem that many of them have financial vested interests in (incentive to lobby governments to impose those on their populations). Not questioning would be unwise, particularly when it comes to power (often corrupt). It does not mean that every suspicion held would be correct but we must scrutinise much regardless. If nothing else, it makes science more robust and demands more transparency from those in power. Appeals to authority are not the wisest of choices. Stating there is a consensus is not convincing either, especially when you learn that the scientists claiming much are funded by the very people and groups funding their departments and institutions. The same people and groups making a profit from their findings. It can appear, at least, like scientific bias. Personally, I view those as two [strengthening science and transparency] incredibly important things to achieve. If powers were more transparent then, perhaps, populations would be less inclined to be highly suspicious of them. After all, many have a terrible track record of putting their citizens first and their personal or their associates' interests last. Do we blame the people or the corruption for that?
