Labour won 33.8% of the vote and we are supposed to regard that as an endorsement of their policies. RN in France won 37.4%, but somehow that is a rejection by the people of France of their policies.

France will create a coalition government, it may take some time. Time that is seen as a catastrophe only in Britain. In reality it's a very important time because it's when different groups/parties are forced to be honest agreeing on real things, to form a government. This doesn't happen in Britain ever. And meanwhile the country is run by people who actually know how to do it, undisturbed by silly politicians for a while. Some Brits will call them unelected bureaucrats. would claim that there is always a very good reason to take anything a Brit writes about France with a huge pinch of salt.
@BonusHole

How's it going with those unelected bureaucrats running France? Only two nights of far left riots this week? Handful of terror attacks in France this year? Going well I'm sure. Remind me - did they ever catch the drug lord who was broken out by his personal Special Forces Unit killing the guards in the process?

Behind every successful Socialist, is a wealthy, greedy Capitalist Banker. Socialists must always borrow from a Capitalist banker to finance free giveways and their Perpetual Wars for Perpetual Government Indebtedness. Napoleon said "When a Government is dependent upon bankers for money - they , and not the leaders of the Government, control the situation." Thomas Jefferson said it more succinctly, "Central Banks are more dangerous than standing armies"
