Simply always there at the right place at the right time… and especially when the least expected on the left instead of the right or vice versa. He loves fooling defences around. Massive, massive credit to Fabien Galthie. The French team he inherited was transitioning from the bulky, physical types of Guilhelm Guirado, Cedate Gomes Sa and Mathieu Bastareaud. In what seems like a few years he has transformed them back into the fast-paced, razzle-dazzle, controlled chaos, loosey-goosey style of open play that Les Bleus are so famous for. All of that can be summed up in just two words: French flair. There is a difference here though. A scary, venomous, almost terrifying layer of direction and aggression instilled in this current French outfit which I feel is different to the teams that came before them. It's no wonder they are hot favourites for the Six Nations and RWC.

you know what’s scarier the never ending depth in nearly all of the positions, we’ve got 2 world class n10 (and 3,4 other 10s pushing for that number 3 spot) same for for the hooker positions, the back row, the centres, the n15. And I must add that killer mindset/instinct. It’s a joy to watch, I’m excited for the this year’s WC, and i’m already excited for the next WC.

If I'm being honest with you, I don't know what it is about the French. Since time immemorial they've played a style of rugby that only until recent times was completely and utterly at odds with the home nations and arguably the rest of the world. They just seemed to have a completely different approach to the game. They were always a complete paradox as well, some of the hardest bruisers such as Chabal, Ibañez, Betsen as well as most of the Béziers team from the 70s were French men but it was always so perfectly mixed with this artistic poise and skill that the backs had such as the Boniface brothers and in recent times the likes of Dupont, Ntamack and Penaud. The rugby world would surely be a much duller world without the French being part of it.

Thank you for your post! I love rugby❤

For me, the video's first try shows how good Galthié is. It's his 1st year as France coach and for the Australia serie, he didn't have most of the players who were at the 6 Nations. Among the players who touched the ball after the scrum, only Thomas was in this year 6 Nations and you score a try like this. 😯

Galthié was a french player & then after his retirement he became coach & commentator, so he was the 1st witness of the french rugby shipwreck He then took the lead of the national team, and decided to teach the basics, with these simple fundamentals mastered, like accurate & reliable passes, it allowed us to free the ball & make it alive, thus enabling our french flair to rise once more & take over the rugby world.

He's the ministre de l'intérieur for a reason. He's always there, like *PLOP* grabs ball, score try, decisive pass, or push the ruck 30m towards the try line. But this French team is not a one man wonder.

hahaha of course not legal since player tackled does not hold the ball but since try was scored referee did not intervene. Penalty try theoretically.
