Frances and Patrick Connolly celebrate £115m EuroMillions Lottery win

Patrick and Frances Connolly (pictured main), who rent a £115,000 end-of-terrace home in Moira, County Armagh (inset), have become the fourth biggest lottery winners in UK history and one of Northern Ireland's richest families overnight. Mr and Mrs Connolly have already drawn up a list of 50 people they will share some of the money with, including their three daughters (24-year-old twins Natalie and Fiona (top right) and Katrina, 30) and three grandchildren, two boys and a girl. Their eldest daughter Katrina (bottom right) who Frances had from a previous relationship but was brought up by the now-millionaire couple in Hartlepool, and is expected to be made a millionaire. She told MailOnline: 'I'm sure they'll share their money - but I'm not bothered about any personally. If they said fifty thousand or a million, it is hard to comprehend. We've taught the kids that happiness is the most important thing. Money helps with things but money's not the most important'. She added: 'They rang me yesterday. I honestly thought she was joking so I asked her a few times. I was in a daze all day'.

Ryan In The Comments I would never go public. People will be targeting them with every sob story ever. Literally in the bank, go back to work, slowly quit in the next six months and then enjoy it. Only people who need to know are immediate family (and even then much later) to avoid names getting out

@@k.jamescarters9557 I completely agree. I understand that lottery winners sometimes crave the fame, but at the end of the day it lasts 5 minutes. Further down the line, after all the begging letters, family fallouts and the stress that £115 million pound brings they'll probably realise their mistake.

Each to their own, if I won that amount I would never dream of going public in that way or suggesting a list of beneficiaries. Anonymity is pretty well impossible in such circumstances, but there's clear daylight between striving for that and going public to display your new found wealth to over 70 million British / Irish folk in the most public way available... to every malicious beggar, scammer, paramilitary etc...

Of course they have gone public. How else would they get recognition for their charity donations. People love donating to charity as long as other people know about it. It’s a shame that some of the worlds biggest charity donators are anonymous and don’t get the public recognition they deserve. But they are not doing for the attention are they, but these two are.

If I won I would keep it private and only tell the closest people in my life. I know that they’re happy that they won and want to share their happiness but it’s not going to be good in the long run with people asking them for the money.
