3 жыл бұрынFrancesco Molinari continued his stellar 2018 season by winning his first major at The Open after a titanic final-round battle at Carnoustie.
Molinari was paired with Tiger Woods on the final day, starting three shots behind a trio of Americans atop the leaderboard.
And the Turin native became the 2018 Champion Golfer of the Year after a final-round 69 for an 8-under-par total of 276.
His bogey-free play over the weekend over the Angus links will go down as one of the most consistent performances in the history of The Open.

I love how we can HEAR how incredibly excited all the commentators were about Tiger actually leading The Open on Day 4 again. Hey, commentators are human too. How do you hide what EVERYONE in the entire golf world is thinking?

That chip-in from Spieth was ridiculous. If he meant to that exactly. I think thats one the greatest shots of all time. Into the hard and tight upslope, skip on, then bite and slow, to reach the exact pace needed to catch a small ridge and then turn with the right pace... I mean... come on
