Jesus said that his disciples would have suffering and pain in this world. Most of his disciples suffered in the hands of persecution. How come our lives can be so different? Are we to comfortable to step out in faith and live the way Jesus wants us to live?

Just a nurse on break struggling with motherhood of rebellious teenagers looking for hope in this pain and mess. I need God to speak to me right now and everything seems so... dry and empty? And I just need to feel the love of God through this suffering. Please pray for me if you see this.

I have Prayed for you, and please know that God is in this with you, you are never alone in the challenges. He said He will never leave us nor forsake us. Rest in Him and Trust Him. All my children shall be taught by the LORD and great shall be the PEACE of my children! ISAIAH 54:13 Keep Praying and confessing the Word of God over your children! 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Ive been there, the struggles the hurt of everything we hear and see from them, and being a fearful christian we need to hear Gods voice, i went through it, keep believing and trusting the Lord even when you cant see the light ahead. Its there, Hes there. You will learn so so much. Be strengthened in Him to gain patience and keep silence in the battle while continuing to pray. Get oil and annoint the house, their rooms ect always in Jesus' name. God will make way. ❤🙏🏼 (this was 3 years ago, so i hope you are well) Stay blessed!

Well I spent Easter homeless because God made me make a life altering decision and if it wasn't for Francis Chan, I would think I was crazy. At least someone gets me. Love you Francis

F Chan is important. Over 30 yrs of experience of paralysis allows me to say there is the secretest joy of all hidden in the truths he brings to light from holy scripture. Suffering is not good but of you accept it for love of Him who "bore it all" you will know He is looking at you. Suffering, especially chronic is debilitating, and one is conscious of its power to dehumanise or take away the integrity of the human person that you are. Christ never fails though. A truth that must never, ever be lightly spoken given what suffering there is "out there" or in your own life. The best non-scriptural book I ve read on suffering is the autobiography of St Faustina "the Secretary of His Mercy". It has an uncanny power to strengthen and energise the human heart. At one point she says "if it were possible the angels could envy us, it would be for two things- suffering & communion. Thats her way of saying Holy Thursday (the Last Supper) & Good Friday invincibly lead to Easter Sunday.

It used to upset me that people could yell and scream and cheer at sporting events, but don't dare make any vocalization or raise a hand in the Lord's name or for the words of one of his messengers.
