He is wrong, "We can use politics to make things better". Not when Government & Corps steal personal Data, using it to manipulate & demoralize society.

Love Forward but sadly structural voting reform like RCV and Open Primaries just isn’t sexy enough to get people riled up and we’ve been struggling to get a unified message out there. It is almost as if Forward needs to launch its own improved version of RCV (goodness knows STAR and other proportional forms of voting are superior but harder to explain) that they can tie their name and message to maybe along with a game and app to promote both 😉 🧢 #TheFutureIsForward

@@emerraldx Its because these people do not listen to alternative view points, they live in a world of one sidedness and just want to be the same democratic party but repackaged with a. little less corruption but with the same lack of objectivity, lack of consistent principals, lack of embracing some set of core values that are prooven to be true. Without this nothing will gain enough tracktion because it is based on BS. why is 99% of the corruption in the democratic party? its because democrats believe anything they are close minded and refuse to have debate or criticise their own party. republicans criticise their own party, they pay attention to what hteir candidates positions are, and the media is willing to hold them accountable. through spirited debate hearing arguments on both sides republicans develop and progress their party and embrace common sense, liberals rely on false ideals that often times people know are rediculous but cannot critcise without the fear of being politically incorrect or offending someone. now that biden is in power people saw that immediately things started deteriorating and that their life is worse in every measure. they are really blowing it wide open and showing what an absolute fraud they have been and how easy it is to show fake compassion when your spending other poeples money many of which have much less. its disgusting and it makes people want to barf.

"Everyday here and at home, we are warned about the 'enemy' but who is the 'enemy'? Is it the one who believes differently from us? No, oh no my friends! The enemy is Fear, the enemy is Ignorance, the enemy is the one who tells you, you must hate that which is different, because that hate, will turn on you and that same hate, will destroy you!"-wise words for a troubled world.

Policy can help make society better, but the real driving force for positive change has tp come from the people. Our interactions with other people (in person or otherwise) will influence them in an indifference, negative or positive manner. Our indifferent interactions are negligible, but our negative and positive interaction are infectious and will compound in the further interactions of the people affected. And so on and so on down the line..... Just as one negative person can bring down everyone in the group, or a positive person can lift others up, the same happens in society, only out of our awareness. I'm sure negative Internet interaction compound more so than in person, because the words persist online and the crowds grows rapidly. Ultimately tribalism is destroying the country and only if we take personal responsibility for the part we play, can we solve this problem. People need to look no further than Yang's great example of how to interact with others to set a positive trajectory in the people we interact with. Look at how Yang treated Shane Gillis, Ben Shapiro, CNN and other detractors of him.

You are not missing anything its just more liberals talking about how they are smarter than everyone else and how if you believe if free speech, capitalism, government acccountability, that group identity should not define you, energy independance, school choice, and fairness under he law you are a facist and reprehensible. But you can redeem yourself by embracing identity poltics, advocating for men in womens sports, and if your white - sitting only in the back of the bus.

Hi folks. Something worth supporting. The US China relationship is strained, exhausted, and the future isn't promising. How do we improve the US China relationship? By building bridges and improving trade between our two nations. Farming is one of the most important industries for the world. The US and China both need farming for their future. In today's episode I bring in Bob Holden the 53rd Governor of Missouri along with Min Fan, the executive director of the US China Heartland Association for an amazing chat on how we make it happen! its funny how Liberalism and "Democracy" are used interchangeable when they are actually principle apposed to each other. but then again when they speak of democracy they just mean mass voting.

I've enjoyed much of Fukuyama's writing but sometimes when it comes to domestic politics I think he misses the mark. His point about Republicans not being a 'big tent' party, I don't get that, and his claim as well that they're basically doomed to lose elections if they don't change. Just because they don't go after votes by saying 'Hey blacks, hispanics, women, vote for us!' doesn't mean they aren't trying to get votes from them. They just aren't focused on skin color and skin deep identities the way that the Democrats are. You can quibble with policies but I think their idea if properly articulated is to be for all Americans, as such, without dividing people up into different groups the way that Democrats do. And if they ever managed to fight for such a message I think it'd be a winning message. But they're terrible so don't count on it. Also you can look at Trump's success with hispanics in Texas, where Biden barely won a majority over him, or the success of hispanic candidates there or in Florida, to see that Francis is not correct to act like Republicans are focused on only winning the white vote. It's just a flawed analysis.

I can empathize with your perspective Benjamin...since I was a republican most of my adult life...but in the last 5 or 6 years the GOP has morphed into an extremely dangerous combination of Christo-Fascism and QAnon insanity...which frankly has no actual policy positions whatsoever, except to put as many firearms into people's hands as possible. I worked in many republican election campaigns and I don't believe that most conservatives are like the QAnon morons who are currently running the GOP....but unfortunately their voices are the ones who are amplified right now.

I took the liberty of liking comments by both, Benjamin Holm and Nathan Han, because both are true in my experience as a life-long Democrat living in a Red State. The conservative Republicans I meet every day are not interesed in discussing identity politics. They value those who value hard work and honesty. And they never shy away from giving a helping hand, or extending an opportunity, to those in need (without regard to identity), as long as they too, are willing to work towards improving their own situation. They are good people with good intentions. Having said that, it is also true that today's Republican Party, no longer represents these values. Instead, they engage in as much wholesale identity bs, as my party does! Divisive rhetoric is the name of the game, and we (the electorate) are the spoils of war. Thank you Forward for hosting Mr Fukuyama. Great interview!

Yang is fighting the good/noble fight. It is just that the establishment is too entrenched. Calling it a uphill battle is belittling the amount of effort Yang is putting in for common human prosperity. I'm sorry my life is hard enough and i don't have much to give to the fight. But I guess this is swamp the very establishment has directly/indirectly set up. When the Yang gang makes moves again count me in.

Realistically, I think it would be wiser to make Forward a faction of the Democratic Party, instead of it's own party. At least until RCV is more widespread in the U.S. Hopefully, it would end up being the dominate faction of the party.
